"Fire fighting is dangerous work, but the world needs them." She nods "Park ranger positions might be limited." She thinks over "i've got a cousin who is a cop with the K9 Unit"

"I'm... torn about that one. Like.. like, TV cops, y'know? Protecting people? I like that. But.. I dunno..."

"Yeah, the real deal is often not so nice" she sighs "Just looking at the News will show you some cops are jerks" She ponders "Hey, how are you at swimming?"

"Better now, Siv helped."

"Ah, welll, therre will be a life guard position openning is why I ask"

"Oh..." Brow furrow, contemplating.

"I suppose there's security guard but that might not be much better than the cop job"

"Dunno. I mowed lawns last summer..."

"OH yeah. I remember that. You did great work" She thinks on it

"Well, summer jobs are easy. Career paths? Harder" She finally says

"Yeah. Lots of time outside. But.. yeah. College?"

"College might be good to let you sort out what you like, see how many paths are open, and it's not that expensive if you go Community colelge"

"Yeah. CC or a scholarship. Not gonna put Jaymes and Tove on the spot."

"Your folks wouldn't complain if you asked or needed it. They're really behind you"

"They wouldn't complain, but... y'know?"

"I hope we get sports back next year. That's my best chance for a scholarship."

"I know" she nods "And me too..well, not the sports scholarship but I miss cheerleading"

"It'll be so different..."

"Yup." She nods enjoying the last of her food "Bit scary no matter how things turn out"

"Yeah..." Sigh.

"Oh sorry, I'm nnot helping am I? Look, Dagmar, I hear a lot of gossip about folks, boggann you know? But if it helps, the gossip about you? Mostly folks think you're a bad ass who can do just about anything she puts her mind to" True
