Striding in, sweaty and bruised, and with this or that limb wrapped in a bandage, comes a grim faced bogggan with raven wings

"Lucia! Did you kick her ass?"

"Well... she took a chunk out of my left wing.. and nearly broke my shield arm" A sigh and it rings true... then she breaksi nto a grin "But I SO kicked her ass. Oh my gosh you should have seen her after the fight... she slamed into a stone wall thanks to that move you taught me. "

"YES! Oh, oh, your wing, shit... Kerri?" She calls, checking.

"Coming!" Kerri calls from the kitchen, and a moment later she's there, wiping her hands on a dishtowel. "What is...oh, Lucia, what happened?" concern, and she's quickly settling the boggan by the balefire.

"Lucia was a bad-ass. But she took some licks."

"She's so much worse though.. her face? BUSTED... And I hamstrung her like Sylvi gave lessons on where to find it.. conceited bitch wore a battle skirt but didn'tt... " A blush "Oh, Hello, Hearth. I won a duel"

Kerri contains a grin. "This is what winning looks like today? That must have been quite a duel. Stay there. I'll be right back."

She vanishes into the kitchen again.

She doesn't have boggan speed, but soon enough Kerri is returning with a slice of break with some butter and honey spread on top. "Kettle is on for tea, but eat this now, please."

And yes, that little snack is laden with cantrip.

She does,, clearly hungry so it goes fast.

"Now she knows." She offers Lucia a fist to bump.

Kerri watches her to assess how well the cantrip is taking hold. "This was with the emissary from Unicorn's Eye?"

"Former... apparently the Baroness of the Eye got word how her 'temp' was behaving, how this duel came about.. and she was removed from service AFTER I kicked said temp's ass" The wing is strong again, the arm looks to move stiffly but at least it moves

Grunt. ("good.")

"Really? Well...from what I hear, she earned that. Just keep an eye out. You've likely earned an enemy today, unless she's mature enough to realize that she's in the wrong."

A curious look at Dagmar "Sorry, I don't really speak troll that well yet. Sounded like a good grunt?"

"Oh, yeah. I'm glad she got fired. She deserved it."

"Oh, she's NEVER going after me again, Hearth" She says "I told her the other things boggans do... besides' fetch coffee' and get a read on the room. I told her if she made trouble for the lodge again all the gossip she never wanted folks to know would be flying around fast. Thinks like who she was seen nude with when she had told another date she was sick that day. Things like how she was about as Vegan as redcap. I know where she's been, who with, and what or who was in her mouth when it was" The boggan says "After that, she seemed to understand, and certainly does't want to pester me for coffee again or talk trash about the lodge"

"jeeeez..."

"it's what I SHOULD Have done instead of throwing dcoffee to her face but i lost my cool. " A blush "Thanks again, Dagmar, Bettween you and Sylvi I had some moves she didn't expect me to have"

Kerri is clearly impressed. "Remind me not to get on your bad side, Lucia. Now, let me get that tea, and some more food for you. Seems you worked up an appetite!"

"Starved" She admits "I barely touched breakfast, my stomach was so nervous, then skipped lunch, and ... well Now that's it's over I'm starved"

"Oh, sure. Smart, too. I usually throw up after big fights."

"Just a moment then," and Kerri is back in the kitchen.

"You do?" Stunned "Wow. I just thought you..well, I thought you browed at their remains all sad for how stupid they were to fight you" At least partly true!

She shrugs.

"I'd like to keep studying if possible, sword play I mean"

Soon enough she's back, carrying a tray. "Here, this may not seem fancy, but it will get your blood sugar back up and give you some protein." And on the tray, along with the tea service, is apple slices and a jar of peanut butter. "Trust me."

"I'm not great with swords, but if you wanna practice, I'm game."

"Oh thank you so much" She lathers peanut butter on the slices "Hearth, mom and dad tell me that they know you miss Sylvi and if you and your husband like, they'll give you a free dinner. Apparently they're acting like I'm already gone sicne I'm not working at the resurant anymore"

"Hmph."

"I know right? " A smearing

"And yes, thank you, Dagmar. Regarding practice"

"They can't expect you to not want to do stuff. You never wanted to work in the restaurant."

"I liked helping, they were my folks but it's like that's all they saw for me and I guess I just wanted to break the mold. Guess I've done that. Now if only mom would stop acting like I had a terminal disease"

"Well, tell them the offer's very kind. We might just take them up on it at some point. But I think you have every right to demonstrate that you are still part of the family." A bit of a grin. "She does tend to the dramatic, doesn't she?"

"That's gotta suck. It's not like you're leaving."

"Oh so very. I mean I know sterotyping is wrong? But we're SO Italian" A sigh of embarrassment

Then a nod to Dagmar, a note of sympathy "Yeah. I think there are.. like levels they're not taking into account. Annd don't wory, I think thtey'll get the hint when I keep living at our house"

Snerk, lip-twitch.

"Mm. At least they'll remember to make use of you while you're present," Kerri says, a gentle tease. "They're good people, and very focused, and sometimes that focus makes them forget to notice some things. It happens to many of us. Sometimes a good wake-up call is in order."

"Mmph."

A smile "Thanks, Hearth Kerri. I don't mind helping out there is my real dutties don't pull me away, and they can be kind of .. yeah, focused is a good word"

"I think the Chieftain would recognize the importance of making sure you have time for both your duties and your family," Kerri assures.

"I'm glad my parents are letting me be... whatever. Though sometimes, dunno, a little guidance might help."

"Well, I donn't want special treatment" the boggan says to Kerri

"Dagmar, what about that horse ranch? you like working there?"
