Brekke maybe surprised to find her daughter awake before she is. Further more, a note left on her door that says 'Dad, Mom, stay in bed'

Frank snores softly.

An eyebrow at the note. But...I have patrol...

And he stirs, a hand seeking in the sheet for a moment, then....

And then, a smell of food.. this is not unusual in this house, but it is that it is so near the door

But this is her daughter, and she patiently returns to bed, settling in next to her snoring husband.

And a very SOFT knock the sort meant to announce but not wake the truly sleeping

Brekke nudges Frank to wakefulness and quietly says, "Siv is here, wake carefully," before calling out, "Enter."

"Mmphm?" He wakes and sits up, or at least props himself up on an elbow.

Siv enters in carrying a 'couple's tray' , a long branch of her hair covers most of her face, but she says "Hey, Breakfast in bed for the two hardest working parents ever"

And while breakfast is not fancy, eggs, sausage and bacon and toast mix smells great.

And Siv knows how her mom and dad LIKE their eggs and took care

Brekke hmphs with embarrassment. "Siv, you did not need to do this." She notes the lock of hair hiding her face but does not comment. "Thank you."

"When did you return from Fenix?"

Frank blinks, and sits up completely. Then pulls the sheet up to cover his bare chest.

"Well, I thought about doing breakfast in bed on Valentine day morning, but then it occured to me you folks might be gone that day, enjoying couple time. So I hope. But as for when I got back,, pretty quickly truth"

Brekke looks appreciatively at the breakfast. "Ah, this looks wonderful. Thank you." She takes a first sip of coffee. "Ahhhh. And then a taste of toast before asking, "How was your visit with Jessica?" She doesn't want to mention the other reason for the trip.

Frank -does- have coffee with breakfast.

"Oh Jessica gave me her usual sisterly sass, albeit in a stoic situation. I filled her in some things, got some of how things are going for her. I think her bond with Fenix is really coming along, well, hell, more than that? It's strong, in a good way, and her land is challenged but ready to face it. She LOVED Kerri's pie, but we knew she would. She asked me to pass on her thanks, and her love" A chuckle at something, then "And she guided me to her spa"

(Pause)

"Oh?" Brekke says, knowing of the spa's powers. She may be trying to control the interest in her tone. "Were you able to make good use of it?"

Frank sets his coffee down, paying attention.

Siv brushes her hair back out of her fast, revealing her restored features, oh there might be a tiny scab on the lip, but it's the sort certain to fall off without a blemish in the next day or two . the Horrid scratch is gone! "Turns out it was more of a curse than a wound? It was crrazy... the spa drove the curse out into the water and then it got purified as Fontaine and Piper and I..." A smile "And Jessica, sang it away" Pleased

"Music is healing." Frank agrees.

"Oh, Siv!" Brekke reaches to draw her closer to get a better look. "Oh, it looks so much better! And Jessica sang it away? This is a skill she has learned?"

She nearly upsets the breakfast tray in doing so.

"Oh no, she's still can't hit the high ones for shit " A grin "But it was the love and pureness in it. And, I tease, but compared to Piper and Fontaine I was weak. twas the healing waters and Fontaine's magic, we just.. assisted and filled it and empowered it?"

Frank nods, understanding.

"Hey, careful" She steadies the tray . Oh yes, Brekke can see it now. Her daughter's face is lovely, but more importantly, healthy!

And he helps steady the tray; no desire to wear his breakfast.

"Language," Brekke reminds her automatically and without much force. "I am pleased for you." And she helps resettle the tray. "You do know, I hope, that the scar did not change who you are."

"Jonas said much the same, only with a lot of big words and god help me, a finger wag. And Piper said it looked Roguish" Then a smile "And... no, no it didn't change it. I still loved who I loved, and I held my same values. The curse could not take away what really mattered. But, I guess I am a bit vain for I am very glad to have my looks back such as they were. I'll never be the prettiest girl in a lodge, and that's fine, but I did not like that scratch... and now that the pain is gone, so much the better"

"It pained you?" Concerned.

"Ah" She stops realizing what she let slip

Frank looks at Brekke and back at Siv.

Brekke frowns. "You did not say that before. You should not have kept that from us, Siv."

"Other matters were more important, mother.. and the pain was not constant. The Lodge had to come first, and you and father did not need distractions. Now and tthen, it ached. " Truth though 'now and then' is vague "Nothing I could not endure. I think perhaps it was meant to remind me of my marring. That is the nature o' curses, is it not? One is not allowed to forget them"

Frank's expression is grave.

"True."

"Cursed for no true purpose," Brekke mutters. "Cursed for no doing than opposing its evil."

"Aye, mother" She takes her mom's grim hand "But then, you have lost things for opposing evil and never complained. If you wanted me to whine about it when there was work to be done, you should not have set such a fine example"

And then she dimples, juust a bit

A grumble. "That was different." But she doesn't press the point. Her expression softens slightly and she merely says, "I am glad you have healed. I am glad you no longer have that pain."

Frank nods.

"me too" Siv says, rather than quibble over how different it might or might not be when you get down to it and she smiles "As for patrol, your patrol has been taken up by Tiffany, grand thane that she is. And I will take on a double patrol later today as I cover mine and dad's . You two will have time together. Now if you wish to fuss, you may patrol WITH me for part of things, and w'ell take the woodland patrol, freeze a bit together and talk as we look at the woods and edges , view the sttreets from happy distance and so on. Though what I would suggest is you both let me handle it, and snuggle by the fire or whatever it is older married couples do. But stubborn as you both can be I have tried to leave you options" A pause "Ye might even have a few hours to do a surprise visit to Jessica"

"Mmph." Frank looks over to check with Brekke.

A brow at Siv, and she looks to Frank. "It seems we have been given our marching orders, Old Married Husband."

"And how do I feel about that?" he asks wryly.

"Oh no no... plenty of choices... what I want you to do, what I'm willing to let you do, and what I think you'd enjoy. Pick one or more of those as much as you like" A smile "i've learned a few things from the Hearth"

"Well..." she considers "...the breakfast is good. And if patrols are covered...." She seems to be accepting. Then Siv lays down the range of options and Brekke gives her the eyebrow again. "You are risking your advantage."
