Tiffany heads out the door not explaining why

Outside, Kerri is also frowning as she jabs at her phone again.

Tiffany turns around a corner of the lodge, then .. in dog form goes to sniff the scene of the crime

TXT: Here. Just got out of the Dreaming. On my way home. WHat's up?

Frank's huge hands are gentle and careful not to wake the dog. He wrings out the cloth and sets it to dry.

He crosses to Brekke.

A frustrated snurf from the canine thane.

Kerri exhales a breath she hadn't realized she was holding and texts back: Just get here. Watch your back.

Brekke looks to Frank and grumbles, "I do not like not having a clear target."

TXT: Always do.

Gerd says "Should we tell Sylvi to stay at Darkgate tonight?"

Frank's beard moves, and he nods. "I understand."

Brekke looks to Gerd. "A good idea. Suggest it to the Hearth when she comes back in."

"You think, set up a watch for the night? Some random patrols? The rest, try to rest?"

Kerri grins slightly and puts her phone away before reentering the Lodge, bringing another pitcher of cider with her as she returns to the main hall. "Olgar is well, returning from the Dreaming now."

Gerd remembers to do so and seeing the hearth "Ah, your call but might want to text your daughter and tell her to stay at Darkgate tonight?"

"Mm." Brekke nods. "Will you stay here?" she asks Frank. "I must...." She looks to the door again, restless.

"I understand. Permission to set up the watch? I take it you will patrol....."

Brekke nods gratefully. "I will check in." A look and a brief touch of hands, and she makes her way out the door.

A faint squeeze of her fingers in return to the touch, and he turns to the room. "Vali, we'll set up a watch and a patrol closer to the Lodge than Brekke will be. You, me, Tiffany, Gerd. Kerri, you have the Lodge, of course. Dogmar and Jack will guard BrownDog." He thinks. "Dr. Lee has Jonas and Dirk. We'll have Olgar soon, add him to the watch and patrols. Gerd, can you find out where Dagmar is and what she plans?"

"She was on patrol I think she's on her way back" Gerd says

Vali nods "Anytime you're ready, Mountain"

Frank nods. "Secure the Lodge, then, and we can draw straws or something for patrols and watch quarters. Everyone, I know it's tense but if you're not on patrol or a watch, you need to rest as best you can."

Olgar comes in possibly at the same time Dagmar does

Frank brief's Olgar as succinctly as he can (after the ogre greets Kerri). "You'll be part of the watch and patrol rotation."

"Both of you." he adds if Dagmar is there too.

"Sure. I've been patrolling."

Olgar grunts. He got the update it seems. "I'd rather be on offense than defense. We should just smash the face of the guy behind this"

Grunt. "Olgar has a point."

"I don't disagree with you, but we don't know who he is or where he is. So."

"Come morning, we can reassess."

"We'll reassess, t hen kick some reassess " He nods "Fine. Put me in the rotation for patrols. "

"How's Brown Dog?"

Frank nods. "You just came in from a patrol. You'll take a post later, you and Dagmar. Vali, you're up for Lodge watch first. I'll patrol. Then Tiffany and Dagmar. Then Gerd and Olgar. BrownDog is resting, Jack and Dogmar are with him by the 'Fire."

"Oh, good."

OLgar nods then looks to Dagmar "You want a dr. Pepper? " Clearly about to get himself a drink to rest with so to speak

"That'd be nice."

He grunt nods and goes to get her a cold one

"Four pairs, about two hours each.... gives everyone six hours of downtime. Could be worse. Ok, folks; Vali, you have Lodge protection, I'm on a short-range patrol, back in a few hours." He nods and pulls his coat on before heading out.

Valil nods . Tonight it seems he has no jokes

Dagmar claims a seat, settling into downtime.

Olgar hands her drink to her, and gets his own "So.. how was your day?" The Rover asks

Grunt.

"Yeah." he nods "I get that" And he opens his drink and takes a swig

Dagmar mirrors the swig.

"Fuckin' Brown Dog."

"You know what? Tonight, when the kids aren't around? Forget the fucking s wear jar." Olgar tells her, "We get our chance on Mr. Daaareeen... we kick his ass. Who the hell goes after a lovable mutt that would lose a fight with flopsy?"

"Xactly."

Somewhere, Brown Dog is stroked by small hands dangling from cots.
