"Well well... " Siv grins "Thought you'd be trod hopping to your beau. Good to see you , Sylvi."

"I've been, thanks, and I might end up there again soon, but...you do know this is my home, right?" Amused. "What are you two up to?"

"Hey Sylvi!"

"Comparing Yule war stories."

"Yeah. I got centaur, she got were raven" A pause" I THINK She edges me out"

"Yeah? Good stuff? Hang on a sec...." She goes into the kitchen briefly to grab herself a fruit seltzer, then returns.

"Wait, okay...Centaur, were raven...you guys have told Uncle Frank all this stuff, right?"

She furrows her brow a minute, thinking. "I'm pretty sure there were centaurs on the gold trod. And...something swimmy...but I don't remember as much now."

"Not yet. But look!" She pulls up her sleeve to show off the rune-scar.

"There's a Falcon tribe of werewolves!"

Sylvi's jaw drops and she stares at Dagmar. "You...you did that?"

"Well, dad is hard to track down sometimes" She blinks and looks at the scar "okay THAT I missed. Holy snot that's boss"

"No, the Alpha did it."

"So, like, I'm an honorary member for helping rescue their Falcon-spirit."

"That's...that's cool..." Genuine appreciation...but still stunned.

"Geez looweese. Mom and dad didn't even want me having a tattoo"

She pulls her sleeve back down. "The lead werewolf lady said that if I'm in a fight with bad guys, they might pick me out first - but, well, by virtue of being a troll I figure I'm already easy to spot?"

"It's a scar, not a tattoo. And a cool scar, not... y'know..."

"Yeah, no. Not like..." And she nods. "I'm just like...I mean...I think I'm a little jealous!" A smile.

"Not the other thing" Siv says leaving it at that "That seems like a great honor"

"Have you shown Lupe?"

"Oh, crap, have you shown your folks?"

"only a little? " Siv says but smiles "I'm starting to feel boring by comparison to our Dagmar here."

"Ummm... not yet..."

A glance at Siv. "Let us know if you need back up for either, right?"

"Like, really, it's covered pretty much all the time..."

Siv says supportively "Your mom will be glad your'e okay. Your dad will kind of puff up at how bad ass you are. " PRedicting

"I mean, it's alreayd healed..."

"Well, I think it's something you should be proud of. I'm just saying, they're likely to be a little freaked at first. But yeah, like Siv said, your Dad's gonna get all MMPH in a good way."

"Well, they'll get fussed I dealt with werewolves."

"They are dangerous. OH! Oh, I got a treasure, too!"

"Lemme see." Sylvi leans closer.

"It's a magic flute, and it can stop a Rage! So, like.. y'know?" She retrieves the little wooden instrument, decorated with bright feathers.

"Stop a rage?"

It’s strange! It doesn’t ken as a treasure, but there is a mystical feel about it, something tingly and strange... not in a bad way.

"Like... like the Gwydion thing?"

"Wait...the prodigals had a thing that could stop a Gwydion from freaking out...and they gave it away?!"

"I traded dross for it."

"You gottta tell mom about this" She says " I mean, wow"

"Right? It'd be useful to have around."

"Seriously. I remember when Lupe freaked at the Sadie Hawkins dance. Something that could stop that would be REALLY good to have around."

"Good thing the Hearth was nearby"

"Exactly. And like... like when I.. with Frank..." Ashamed.

Sylvi looks at Dagmar, then at Siv, then back. "Um."

"Hey..." Siv says "Past is what we learn from, not a prison we can't escape"

"I lost it, once. Been close other times, but losing it is scary."

"Hey, you got the flute now. IF that happens again, that'll help right?"

"Exactly!"

"Oh." A pause. "Yeah, I guess it really would be. Sorry, but...kinda glad I don't have a House. Not that kind of House, anyway," with a glance at Siv and a half grin.
