"We have already sent one such message, with Sylvi," Brekke reminds. "Perhaps we should give her more time to request...and nudge people in that direction regardless."

"I'll go now," Bix says

"This -is- a recent development. I am just concerned that we don't.... push. It is her victory."

Hastien says "Let me shower up and gear up, and I'll take Bix... though the Mountain has a point. We want to come as offers, not insitances"

Olgar looks at Hastien and sighs "Seelie life has ruined you"

An eyebrow at Olgar.

Hastien says "If it helps, I fudged on my taxes last spring?"

"Eveyone does" Olgar is unimpressed

"Incorrect," Brekke says, but she doesn't seem at all surprised that this is Olgar's opinion. "Bix, you should advise your family of your plans."

Bix says "I'm going to tell Mara for sure." then a bit more sheepishly "I thought of leaving others a note"

"Hm. If that is what you wish to do, I can understand. I do not want them to think, though, that I am ordering you to leave Rivervale and go there."

Bix says "Oh no. I was already asking the Mountain his opinion on my prepardneess"

"Not taking orders... I've heard of this" Hastien says with a side look to Olgar

Olgar says "It's good to want things. We'll get you supplies"

Another raised brow, at Hastien this time. "Different situation."

"Hastien, rest here a night, head out tomorrow. You need to clean up, at least."

Frank nods. "Good advice."

"Yes, Chieftain" Hastien says "Bix can you wait that long? the trod is still risky"

"Looks like I have to come clean to my family anyway" bix nods "yes I can wait that long and return so we can go together" Bix says

Brekke nods to Bix. "I think that is best."

Bix blushes "Yes, Chieftain. Kind of funny I'm ready to face balor but still dread what my folks might say if they don't like it"

"Well, you're not committed to anything yet."

"Truth. I may get told thank you but no." eh shrugs "I'll roll with it"

Hastien grins "Good on you, Bix."

"Family is important. I do not blame you for hesitating. Let us know how it went."

Then Hasten says "By the way, it's only been a few years since I stayed here. Dagmar is turning into a real powerhouse. She's grown. And her throwing arm... she can Yeet"

Olgar sighs. Yeet. he's heard this one. .damn it. Need a playbook

Brekke gives him a bemused look. "Yeet?"

There. At least Olgar doesn't have to be the one to ask.

Hastien nods "makes total sense. I can't rmemeber who she was with though.. skinny guy?"

"Ah." She nods. "Yes, Dagmar has great skills, great power. And she was likely with Symon, a sluagh. They are friends."

Bix admits "Symon's smart... bit creepy in his hobbies but.. I'm sure he thinks I'm dull so it balances"

"They are a good team."

Olgar nods "yeah, Symon's all right. Showing an unseele can achieve a lot "

Brekke nods. "Rivervale is glad to have both of them."

Brekke gives Olgar another look. "Rover, is all well?"

Olgar says "Sure" (lie? not a big one)

"Mm." Another look, but then a nod and she drinks her coffee.

Hastien rises "Speaking of showers, I best go get one and change pants before I flake over the floor and upset the Hearth" meaing the dried blood "Mountain, Chieftain.. Sarge" To Olgar "I'll be down in time to help fetch for dinner ..earn my keep for the night" And he nods to Bix "See you in the morning"

Bix smiles "Sure thing" And he watches the Rover head upstairs with some of his admiration showing

Brekke nods approval. "That sounds like a good plan, Hastien."

Another glance at Olgar. "Rover...come speak with me a minute. Excuse us, Mountain, Bix." She rises from her chair, taking her mug with her."

"Of course....." but concern in his murmur.

"need some Rover advice?" He says "Sure" And he follows
