Sylvi and Nadeen are united in their ignorance of hte language "Silly me, I only studied French, Polish, and Russian" Nadeen waits

"Go figure." Sylvi frowns. "Feels like when my folks used to spell things out so I wouldn't know when they were talking about my Yule gifts or something."

Doomwind becomes engrossed... and quite caught up in the tale as (in Norweigan) it gets to the climatic battle between Sparrow and Harkson in the air.. ending up with the tyrant falling down and breaking his neck on a ledge.

Nadeen looks at Piper "Thank you" Graciously

And Siv takes a drink of water, while her mom deals with what she just heard, and then says "And NOW the English Version"

Brekke has been listening closely, and she nods solemnly at the end of the tale.

Piper looks aghast by the end. “THIS is what you DO? I had no plans for a knighthood myself, but now....” shaking her head. “I’m glad that Jonas was with you.”

"And he fell to his death... and frankly, if not for Nadeen distracted him I'd not been able to get away with half the sneaking I did in the dungeon"

Every once in a while, Sylvi glances over to Nadeen to see if she thinks some part of the story actually went differently.

Nadeen's reactions are hard to read... she nods a little. Looks sad at some, and sometimes just.. grows still like stone. But at the end she nods "The Baroness will serve the land well"

Piper sneak a hand over to squeeze one of Nadeen’s, if she can reach. “Thank you for keeping my love safe.”

Brekke raises her a horn of mead (coffee will be later). "To Siv and Nadeen, and their combined success in freeing the innocent from the Balor."

Siv looks at Piper "all in a day's work? I really only wanted to free one sluagh then stomp Harkson myself, but.. it got so much more important than mhy pride. Honor is more than personal "

Sylvi looks like she really wants to say something...but she bites her lip instead.

Brekke does add to the toast "...and to those others who lent their aid."

Doomwind toasts "Må slangens hus kveles av sitt eget gift!"

"Mm." A nod and Brekke drinks to that toast.

Siv actually blushes "I think the songs will and should rightfully, Praise Sparrow... but there are.."Another blush.. as she realizes she mentioned names in Norweigan "There aree many involved"

Frank toasts as well. So does Jessica.

"Dad, Suffice to say, Sparrow would love to have you visit sometime" Siv adds.

Nadeen looks at Piper "In truth Piper, though I am glad I helped Siv, I did have selfish reasons for going as well. And I thank Siv for trying to put a good spin on them"

She shakes her head. “Selfish or not, the point is you did help.” A smile. “The proof, as they say, is in the pudding.”

Sylvi hides her grin in her glass.

And then she turns to her father. "By the way, Dad, you could've texted me about that clean-up crew, y'know."

Brekke gives a curious look. "Clean-up crew?"

Olgar says "I try to respect your personal space..." To hsi daughter "Besides, while you would have been amazing, we had it covered"

Nadeen looks thoughtful "I did help. yes." A nod

Olgar says to the Chief "Oh yeah.. Sparrow had the hold, but the Rath to the nearest trod was in the hands of the Balor still.. empahsis was. They tried to reinforce it, and we..by that i mean the Rovers... Sir Dubh the Gray, a local or two.. and Dags and Jaymes were waiting for them. Rover biz but I figured a few mor arms would help. Dagmar's been antsy so I thought I'd invite Jaymes and she. "

"thanks for answering the call, Uncle Olgar" Siv says

Sylvi doesn't look particularly mollified, but she'll settle for it.

Nadeen looks a bit dubious about Olgar's excuse to his daughter as well. She knows what it's like to feel cut off from something you might care about

Kerri rests a loving hand on Olgar's shoulder.

...and takes a big sip of wine.

Brekke looks to Frank, "You should visit Baroness Sparrow soon."

'We should." he agrees.

Olgar laughs "Oh it was a blast... one Thallian looked SO Surprised when his helmet was around shoved down past his ears to his shoulder blades"

Kerri grins as Frank makes a point. "Yes, Chieftain, you should go as well. We've got things here."

Siv translates to Doomwind what Olgar has been saying, and Doomwind looks over at the Chieftain and confesses "Jeg liker denne." speaking of Olgar

"People are eating, dear," she adds as Olgar gets enthusiastic.

Brekke nods. "Jeg er glad for å høre det."

“If there’s anything I can help with, I mean, now that the heavy lifting is done?” A smile.

"You can sing some more " Siv says "Jonas and I Missed it"

Olgar hmmph "Fine fine"

“I meant in Dry Tears. If they need singing there, sure.”
