"No porkchops" Brogan opens the door and nods to cement this message

A huff as well.

"Sandwiches AND potato chips?"

A pause "yes. Now, you want PBJs or Bologna sandwiches?"

"Peanut butter and bologna!" He cheers!

A sigh "Come in, best ot let you make your own"

A grin and he heads in to make the largest baloney sandwich he can - or rather, that Brogan will allow.

Brogan cruely limits it to merely huge.

And chips are provided. Onion Dip , Regular, or cheesy options

Jack gets looots of musteard on his bologna

Chips get put INSIDE the sandwich, which proves to be messy, but crunchy and tasty!

Brogan sighs and has his own more tradtional PBJ

As Connor is about to bite, three's a TAP on his shoulder

He is VERY distracted with the scent of baloney and the rumble in his tummy, and the tap has him yelp in shock and the sandwich goes spilling from his hands, chips going every which way. "YEEP!"

"hello, connor." a whisper as lily watches the chips fly with dark eyed dlight

"Oh, SNACKS." He swears! But quietly, and scoops up the sandwich. A sigh. Then, a grin. "If I put this under the sink, do you want it next week?" Re-stacking the sandwich components as best as he can. "

"Otherwise, I can put fresh chips in, I believe in the 5 second rule. Or the dog rule. Which is if you drop it on the floor but if you get to it before the dogs do, it's still good to eat!"

Squire Brogan says "We have a dish for lily. Please, lady, be seated."

Lily seems surprised at this , two boys fussing over her? Nice. She takes a seat "Thank you for your thoughtfulness, connor but it looks like brogan is providing"

He reassembles the sandwich and plops it onto a plate, and the chips get scooped up and thrown out. But he keeps the sandwich! "It's a bit messy but still good."

A skimmy unhealthly looking soup is put before Lily, with a spoon, she mixes in moldly crackers and eats slowly

Jack looks away "ugh"

and Lily starts to make slurping sounds

Connor looks interested - it smells WEIRD, but to his nose... not exactly BAD? Even Mr. Skunk is interesting, if a bit too PUNGENT. A chip is stolen from Jack's plate when he looks away!

Jack does not see this treachery, but the slurping, the horrible horrible slurping, means he can still IMAGINE the soup. Ack

(slurp, slurp, CRONCH)

Treachery from both ends!

"I'm taking MY Food out to the garden" Jack declares , grabs his plate and heads out.

The slurping sounds end, as suddenly Lily can eat quietly, but if she's looked at , her lips are curled in a smile

He watches Jack go, looking forlorn. "Gosh. I didn't think he was so sore about it. I'll share my dessert with him later, maybe he'll cheer up."

"He'll be fine" Lily says "And I was the one who started it"

"Satyrs can be awfully fussy sometimes. But you're both my friends..."

"Yes. Thank you for calling me though. I was.. I'm glad you'll be able to reach me"

"Oh, yes! Now I can call you on my magical wrist-coder and we can hang out all the time."

"oh" she says, and her face looks back in what's left of of her scum layer soup

"Right? I mean, if you're out being spooky, you can't answer your home phone." He looks a little downtrodden. "But mostly I can find you." Perked up agian.

"connor... my family maybe moving away" Lily says "but I don't know if it's for the summer... " A long beat if allowed "or forever"

He blinks - blink blink blinks. "But... but why?"

"adam.. to help adam" lily says "and so we can stay a family" her spoon scrapes against the sides of the nearly empty bowl. scrape scrape scrape

"Oh." A fidget, fidget fidget. "I... I still owe Adam. I did him a mean trick. But I didn't want you to have to move away, even if it helps him."

" i donna wanna either " scrape scrape " icant even use the trods cuz I'm unsained in the membrane"

"What if I die and you're not here to be my taxi driver?"

"then you better not die yet" she glares at him "You must stay alive " She waggles the spoon at him, "For at least a year and a day or whatsit until I get sained and can wander trods"

He gives her a stubborn nod. "I don't plan on ever dying, unless you need my ooey-gooey organs and bones and stuff. But where will you GO?"

"probably near earth ruins" She sighs "I hear it's sunny and happy there..." She perks "But it has a nice library"

His bottom lip threatens to quiver, but... no, he's a Squire now, and he must be mature! "Then I'll just have to come and visit you. It's just a hop and skip away, no trouble at all. You can call me and I can meet you there? The Library is nice and I know the Library lady, she is my friend and her shadow is, too."

Lily looks at him, and then gives him a cold clammy hug

"Oof. You're like one of those fishes! But I caught you." He gives her a hug back.
