Kerri blinks, but nods. "Agreed."

Frank takes a breath and nods. "Thank you."

Kerri looks around quickly to ensure that Connor is not nearby.

"There are... those. Some Fae, some Mortal. Who... we don't understand. I mean my House, and I mean our Society. We don't understand how..... how they come to. This. Where they...... what they are. At the end."

Brekke glances at Kerri, who responds with a baffled look. "Frank," Kerri says gently, "I don't follow."

"Nor do I."

Frank sighs and mutters the word he didn't want to say. "Dauntain."

A blink from Kerri. "Frank...you'll need to spell it out. Especially if it involves Dauntain."

"I am concerned that Adam may become one."

"He is a frustrated Sidhe. We think. He is Kinain, at least. His family accelerates to Fae natures where they had none before. That we know of."

"He can see the Dreaming side of things even when not Enchanted."

Frank looks..... ashamed.

"Mm." Brekke nods as she looks down, considering this. Her brow is deeply lined with concern. "It is very possible."

"But he is not!" Frank insists.

"Wait," Kerri says, "Frank, sorry, I don't see what that has to do with Liam. I mean...I'm not the best student on noble houses, it's true."

"Kerri, it has not as much to do with Liam as it has to do with Adam and his situation. I should have seen it, and dealt with it, sooner. That's all."

She looks a little dubious, but nods. "Well, then...yes. I mean, I can see what you mean. Too much frustration, too much wanting, and he could become so bitter that it reshapes him."

"At the same time," Brekke says, "he cannot be permitted to be a liability for others, and if he cannot withstand the beauty of sidhe...that is what he becomes."

"Is he in a position where.... there is no good answer?"

"I don't know...." Kerri says dubiously.

Brekke shakes her head. "I am not ready to accept that. He has done great service for the Lodge. I am not ready to say it is too late for him."

"Nor am I, and we fought together. He -wants- to be... part of this? I am glad to know I am not alone in my observations."

"Believe me," says Kerri, "I want him to succeed, but he certain does seem to leave plenty of hurt in his wake on the way to success."

Frank frowns. "Yes."

"And because he's still mortal," she continues, "he can't quite fit in. But he resents us for that fact."

Frank nods, agreeing. "I cannot entirely gain his trust." Regretfully.

"I saw this note and.... Brekke, do you know what happened?"

"Only what I told you. Perhaps you should speak with Lady Sparrow? Tell her your concerns? I know you do not wish to speak much of this, but you two are of a house, and she may have an idea."

He nods. "I will do so. Ladies...."

"I agree that we should not coddle Adam."

"What can we do for him otherwise?"

"Well," Brekke says, "Lady Sparrow will be in touch with me about the response she gets from Sir Magnus. And perhaps Sir Bachdion. But beyond finding him a suitable mentor...." She frowns. "I must think on this."

Frank nods.

"I would say he needs to nurture his family relationship more, if he can be convinced to do so. I'm sure it's painful being surrounded by those who have what he wants, but he loves them and...he needs to remember that he values them. Even just for silly family things. I'll talk to Brenda and Kyle, see if there are any family traditions that may have gotten dropped by the wayside during all this..." she gestures around "...that perhaps they could rekindle to reignite a fondness for that connection among them."

Frank nods. "And... if we are agreed that he is likely to be Fiona Sidhe?" He looks at Brekke and Kerri to get a consensus.

"My wish was that he become a sidhe of a seelie house. That is all I know for certain," Brekke says.

"What's the question, Frank?" Kerri asks.

Frank rubs his horns. "I would like to help him. If we believe he will be... or his soul is.....Fiona......?"

Both Brekke and Kerri stare at him, waiting for him to finish the sentence.
