"We don't do court that often, but.. like..." Shrug.

"Well, we've got the diplomats down pat really. Sylvi's aces, and Nadeen clearly handles noble courts well, and truth I just sometimes can be a bit crude if I'm not careful... but whatever they need I'll try to chip in. I tell you, one thing about Earth Runes that just confused me... the servants set up? I would eat my meal.. but did I get to put my dish away? NOOOO ... The staff got upset if I did that. Me? I thought that was just mannerly"

"It's SO different," She says "I mean, I visited noble holds, but living there is sort of strange. Now the Baroness works hard, as well as plays hard... but even Fiona nobles there, and they're really commoner friendly.... they're kind of 'on' all the time, ready to leap to adventure, ready to dress to the nines for court, ready to declare their dedication to love, to justice, to the cause.. it's..just like horses ready to race? And then.. there's the folks who keep the day to day stable... the ones who make sure what they need is ready for them, and that they're provided for"

"Boggans, right?"

"Mostly?"

"Mostly" She says "Though... " A pause "Well, yes, mostly. I suppose you could argue the librarian is support but I would not call her staff, no I would not"

"But yes. I think maybe I'm not used to Boggans so intwined in the day to day of the hold. God bless Anne Marie though"

"She's pretty great!"

"Scary good... " A nod "Sometime I wonder if she had a back story as as Black Ops agent and just isn't telling us"

"Anyway, here I was used to being the out going one, there at Earth Runes I was considered almost aloof and reserved" a smile "It's all about location I guess"

"YOU? Aloof?"

"Almost anyway yeah, I was the quiet one, heck, the baroness even warned me about timidity" A chuclke "To be fair, I WAS being timid, involved family and what they thought of me"

"Which has proven to be so stupid on my part, my family's a lot more supportive than I give them credit for, and even when they don't understand, they try, you know?"

A brow "LIke you never worried about family opinion?" A nudge fond "Turned out it's working pretty well? " A thought "Oh, how's your da and ma and CJ? I mean, I'm not aliens to them, but I don't know too many details"

"Doing good. Babies are a lot of work, though."

"I'm guessing. Look on the bright side, your folks have one more babysitter if she needs one" a grin "and you have a friend with a ship that can take you to that horse island via magic when you need a mental break"

"Everybody likes CJ." Smile.

"He's a cutie" she says "The Debukes had like... 7 babies a month before and then he shows up and takes the prize"

"Well, yeah."

"You know, before you joined on the King Crew, I was the baby. And now CJ? I'm like the eldest of the King kids. Wow. That buy me any authoratay?" She stretches it out South park style

"WHere is Sylvi anyway?" A look around

Shrug. "Dunno."

"Okay. OH, are you going to Piper's party?"

"I think so... there's a pool, and boys'll be away."

"Boys aren't all bad" She muses "Some of them become men" Fond look

"Hmph."

"Well, anyways. Pool."

"Pool" Pleased "Wait, that's what I'll do for the Lodge.. Patroller of the pool area during summer months"

"Come on, let's watch the horses... I think the colt is bullying his dad into playing too"
