"That.. for the COVID.. that.. damn, Symon. That could be brilliant. Yeah, definitely" He nods and heads on out

He watches the satyr go, and settles back to his painting. Looking this time at a hooved and horned demon figurine, holding a book. He could add a staff, here...

"ooo look at you, " Siv says "Walking about already. Hey, hey little Starwake" Siv tuts at the colt gently

The little colt bounces and trots, little wings fluttering now and then, though it never takes off.

"or maybe Stormstar? " Mmm

Stormwake looks alarmed, not at Siv, he knows her. It's his son acting... well, bouncy and goofy for Siv at the least bit of attention.

He decides to set a good example. Taking a posture of majesty dignity.

His son sees this, tilts his head, then...gets distracted and chases after a butterfly

Siv laughs

Star nickers amusedly, then as Stormwake looks after the colt, she approaches Siv to check for treats.

Siv says "Did you not get enough last night?" But she does reach for a treat with one hand, and strokes the mare with the other

The treat is a kind of carrot cookie combo made by Kerri herself. Quite tasty and no risk of choking on it. "Now that's enough okay? Dagmar is going to want you in fighting trim for Pennons, and so are you. You and she are going to show folks how it's done right?"

She takes the cookie, and the stroking, thought Siv gets a snort at the idea of 'fighting trim'. The little colt is rather insatiable with it's nourishment requirements, and that should help any extra baby pounds to melt off.

"Okay okay.. I know that sound.. when I have a kid of my own, then I can give advice is that it?"" A grin

Just so. Star turns to admire the colt again. Even as ungainly as he is, she is proud. Silliness will fade in time, surely.

Yes, no doubt.. though.. he does seem to have decided chasing after a butterfly is how to go.

"Yes, you have a beautiful boy, you and Stormwake made a glorious young fellow" Siv says "Even a horse novice like me can see that. Dagmar must be just torn trying to decide who is cuter, your little fellow or her own little brother"

The butterfly has left, and the little colt leaps as if to follow into the sky, wings flapping and.. thump..

well, that's not fair. He wants to fly so bad, surely wishing is enough? He's wished harder than ANYBODY EVER

But here he is on the ground. He looks at his father for cues, giving a sullen pleading look.

His father looks at him, and Stormwake once again assumes the 'this is how we look dignified'

The little colt tries to mime his father. But his little face gets longer and longer as he stares at the sky denied him.

Star trots over and gives him a soft nuzzle. Then, she canters the length of the paddock, giving him an encouraging nicker. They may be on the ground, but running is a delight as well!

The colt perks, his father bobs his head as well, and with a whiney, the little colt is racing after mom.

Siv smiles "Wish I could take a picture of this myself. Oh Dagmar would have loved that. Good on you, Star!"

Back to naming "Comet?" She wonders "That's kind of like a star and storm together"

"Ha, maybe ˈStjerneskudd'?"

"Gesundheit?"

"Oh, hey," She turns with a smile "That means Shooting Star in Norwegian"

"I figure he doesn't need a name just yet..."

"Soo.. if I get him to respond to a name before you or anyone else does, that's likely to be the one that sticks?" A mischievous smile.

Brow.

"No Norwegian."

"It's a lovely language," hands on hips "AND part of my heritage as well."

"And he's not your horse."

"Never said he was," Siv says "It was just a suggestion .. just saying there's no need to nix ALL Norwegian from the running because you don't like one word. Fine. Has Connor any prefs? Nadeen worked some kind of diplomatic magic I hear?"

"Well, if COnnor keeps him - then it'll be Connor naming him. You wouldn't want to undercut that."

"Fine, " Siv says "now give me a hug. I've missed the hell out of folks and am like thirty hugs behind per person"

Mumble-grumble. "Fiona."

She hugs the bigger girl "Soon to be. In fact I'm hoping you'l join my folks to witness my oathing to the House" She looks at her "I swear you're a bit taller than you were 3 months ago. " A sigh "Not fair. I'm going to be the runt of the family period at this rate. I'm shorter than mom, Jessica, dad, and now you"

"of course I'll go. Been working on a housewarming gift and everything. I mean, I figured it was a matter of time..."
