Frank shakes his head. "I do not recall either, and it will not be in this book... hold on, did I...." he puts the one down and traces his thumb down the spines of his own notebooks.

"I might have taken a note....."

Sir Charles..ah, brother of Ariel the Satyress... not DeBukes by Birth they were rescued from a natural disaster and brought in. Sained to everyone's surprise as a noble.

She watches his process quietly.

"Here?" He pulls one and pages through it, skimming with his large index finger. "Here." He explains to Brekke as he reads. "The disaster, was that the flooding.....?"

"Yes...yes, I recall. Is he still there? At the Farm?"

"No idea."

"Mm. I will have Sylvi inquire tomorrow."

Frank nods, sets down the papers, and goes to retake his seat.

"Of course, other than being an adopted DeBuke, he is an unknown quantity. We know Almond. Siv knows and trusts those of EarthRunes."

A soft knock on the door.

A sip. "Come to that.... Brekke, what do you think of hosting...." He pauses, looking over, and gets up again.

"There is nothing to say he cannot have many teachers...." Then she watches as he goes to the door.

Frank opens it.

A warped withered sluagh they have seen before. Mire. "Message for the King family" he whispers

Brekke probably can't see the small character on the far side of Frank at the door.

A frown. "A messenger, Brekke."

"Mm. Bid them welcome, Mountain."

He offers up a scroll

Frank nods. "Will you accept our hospitality, messenger?"

"Got other messages to drop off, sorry. " he mumbles

Frank takes the scroll. "May we compensate you for your effort?"

"already paid but if you wanna tip" shrug

"What form would suit you?"

"Bit of dross, or a few bucks..whatever"

Frank nods, and tips him $20 from his wallet.

"Thanks" he takes it. "Pardon me..other jobs" And heads off

Brekke watches the transaction and raises a brow. "He would not enter?" It's hard to hear a sluagh from across the room.

"Said he had other jobs." Frank looks for an addressee on the scroll.

To the King Family

If opened...

Frank carries it back as he reads it. A sheepish grumble and he passes it to Brekke.

"I got the salutation and signature. Something about Jonas and Anne-Marie. I think, she says she is well?"

A curious look. She takes it and reads, grinning at the first words. But the grin fades....then her brow furrows.

"Oh no....." muttered.

"She...says she will be away. With Jonas. Something that Anne Marie knows about...." Then a narrowed look, and she rolls the scroll up and taps it three times, casting Willow Whisper. "Who wrote upon you?" she murmurs.

"Thy daughter, Siv. Though she forgot to add the flourish on the last sentence. She does slack on her calligraphy on the last sentence sometimes"

"Hm. Where was she when she wrote it?"

"In the shadows of the Phoenix's wings"

A blink. "She is with Jessica," she says to Frank. Then, "Is she well?"

A knock on the door.

"She was when she wrote, but danger's gate was her path. More than that I do not know"

A sigh at the words from the scroll, and she sets it aside. "As it ever is," she murmurs. Then another knock comes at the door. "More?"

This time, she goes to answer it.

Sparrow waits outside, a bag slung over her shoulder. She smiles and offers a bow. "Chieftain."

Frank looks alarmed, or at least concerned, at the path Brekke's questions were taking.

A blink. "Lady Sparrow? Enter, please."

"Sorry for the late hour. My car broke down in West Virginia, sort of knocked me all off schedule..."

"Sparrow??" Completely nonplussed.
