Outside.. Kyle looks up at the Ravens singing in a language he does not understand. "is that.. swedish or something?" Figuring his son knows as well as he does

Adam shakes his head, also looking up. "No clue."

And there's a knock at the lodge door

"Excuse me," Brekke rises and get the door. "Ah. Kyle, Adam, enter please."

"Oh, is this a bad time?" Kyle asks when he sees the boggans

"No. There is cake. Come and have some."

Indeed, a big flag cake..

Adam steps in when bid, nods respectfully to the Chief, then the old ladi.... uh, boggans.

"Hello, Adam," Anne Marie says "This is Myrtle Anne, not sure if you'v met"

"Nice to meet you, young man" M.A says

"It is Constitution Day in Norway, my birthplace. Anne Marie and Myrtle Anne decided to celebrate. The cake is good."

"Well, happy Constitution day, and I rarely turn down free cake. Thank you" Kyle says

Adam gives MA a short bow, respectfully. "Hello, ma'am, nice to meet you too."

Brekke fetches plates and forks for the men.

"Crash of the Storm. I saw your recognition" Mrytle Anne Says. "Congrats again"

Brekke looks to Kyle. "All is well?" A brow...and the boggans would certainly know she must be referring to an earlier conversation or incident.

"Uh.... thank you." For both the cake and the compliment, perhaps a bit off balance about them as well.

"I'd say say we're all still learning, but.." A nod to his son, "Good so far?"

Adam nods.

"Good. Then...enjoy cake, and then we will train."

Adam eats a bit of cake.

Kyle enjoys his slice.

The boggans ladies eyes glow as they scan the social dynamics between father, son, and chief. Processing... processing

Ok, the teen makes quick work of -cake-.....

Brekke finishes her coffee. "We were just speaking of Didi. She is well."

Adam looks up, alert. "She is? Good......" Relieved.

Kyle nods "I'm glad to hear it"

"The mountain and I are both looking into helping her further " Anne Marie assures

"If... if there's anything I can do.... I owe her." Adam offers.

An intrigued look. "Yes. Good. We will see about making sure you have a hand in helping her. Now..." she rises. "Excuse us, Anne Marie, Myrtle Anne. I did ask Kyle and Adam to come by for training."

Kyle is done with his own slice "Yes, thank you for the excellent cake"

"Thank you." Adam echoes.

"The cake is wonderful, and thank for the thoughts on the holiday," Brekke says. "Please, be comfortable here as long as you wish."

"Oh we'll probably watch you through the window and make busy body commentary" Myrttle Anne says

"Myrttle Anne!" Anne Marie says

"Well, we probably will" She points out

"Yes, but no need to tell the nonbogs that" Anne Marie says

Brekke chuckles. "As you wish." And she leads Kyle and Adam out to the practice ring.

Adam follows.

Kyle says, after they are out, "Are boggans always like that? Happy to help and juuust a little smug?"

"Well..." Brekke considers her answer. "That is the appearance the generally give, yes." A pause. "They are not all sincerely kind."

"Mrs. Lee is nice." Adam observes from personal experience.

"She is indispensable," Brekke says firmly.

Adam rather automatically heads for the weapons rack, then pauses to look at the Chief, see what she has in mind.

A nod to Adam. "Choose a spear or polearm, Adam. We will be using swords."
