Dagmar might lose track of time.

Gerd says "hey, brought you a drink."

"Oh, hey. Shh. He's sleeping. Want to come see?"

Dagmar is sitting cross-legged on the floor, next to the 'crib.' A copy of "Brown Bear, What Do You See" is nearby.

Gerd shushes and fights a smile. Nope. Do not smile too big, at least not at Dagmar, she does coo over the baby, easy to do. Softly she says "okay, he cleans up nicely. geez he's so tiny"

"Right? Like, smaller than a doll."

A pause, then a conspiratorial whisper. "Smell his head."

"smell his.." A look like 'are you for real?'

"Seriously. Smell it."

"This is silly..." But she obliges then blinks "He smells.. good."

"I thought they smelled like dirty diaper or clean diaper" she says surprised

"Right?"

"Wow.. that's.. no wonder people don't leave them behind on rocks in the woods too often" She says

"Yeah." Sigh.

CJ snoozes

"Okay. He looks like a little angel so naturally I'm not sure I trust him" gerd admits "But for now 'dawww'"

"Well, he can't get in too much trouble yet."

"Nope," Gerd says "Huh, they went with Green instead of the usual 'put the boy in light blue' thing"

"There's plenty of blue stuff, too. And wait til you see this hat Ann Marie made...."

"Oh hey, CJ may have made Symon happy. Anne Marie might stop making HIM cute little hats and stuff "

"Hey, true!"

"So Symon owes CJ, CJ is too young to collect, so Symon owes you"

"Hm. I'll take it."

A grin

"Wait till he hits Connor's age... so underfoot, but kind of fun"

"Yeah, there's toddler between this and adorable again."

"Gah. Toddlers" Seems a univeral agreement

"Right?"

"Yeah, do your baby sitting now while he's cute then find some quests when he hits toddler hood" Gerd advises

Snort-grin.

"And oh.. how's the lock on your room?"

"Uh..."

"I don't think it locks? It's an old house."

"Well, in toddler years you might want one ..or something high up ? "

"Well, got some time."

"He can't even hold his head up yet."

"Yeah" Gerd smiles at CJ "he's ..well, your little brother is friggin adorbs"

Happy sigh. Nod.

CJ starts to wake and fuss...

"Oh, oh no..."

"Oh shoot" Gerd says

a keening starts to rise... the sort infants make

"Oh no, no no no..." Wide eyes.

She gingerly puts her hands on CJ, trying to figure out the safest way to pick him up.

"No, don't cry baby...."
