"Cool." Sylvi leans over the edge of the dunk tank to give him a kiss on the cheek. "You're the best dad in the whooooole world." Oh, the Beltane is strong this year.

He grins a bit goofily, no more immune to summer sweetness than his daughter "I will accept this as a truth. Now go tell your boyfriend which stuffed animal you waant"

Sylvi runs back to take Colton's hand and go with him to the prize table.

From across the yard, Kerri gives Olgar a thumbs-up and blows him a kiss as well.

Olgar goes up "You dry again, Vali?"

"Yeah. I can give somoene else a shot... If we're not about to start with the bonfire and boast?"

Adam looks briefly panicked.

"I think a few more rounds....but wait, Vali...." And Brekke, of all people, takes off her weapon belt and the court tunic she wears over a simpler layer....and climbs to take a seat in the dunk tank.

The seat may groan a bit, but...there she sits. "This may be a once-in-a-lifetime chance, young ones!" she calls out.

"Ohhhh, Nadeeeennnnnnn.." A nod at Chief.

"Wow." Sylvi boggles at the sight.

And the mortal boy seems torn.

Nadeen says "I shall give it a try." She rises up, takes a ball after putting the quarter in, "Oh, I bet Baron K wishes he were me right now" A wink of all things from the normally icy varich

And she throws... having watched others throw

A chuckle. "You will have a boast to tell him...IF you hit!"

Nadeen throws, though her aim is good, it tings off not having enough force to set the trigger

"Oh bother.. Let me try again? I have two more balls"

"You can do this!"

"You wanna Step into the throw..."

Brekke chuckles as the first one tings and fails.

Nadeen nods, and tries again

The next one flat out misses.. too much force, accuracy lost. But taking the third... Nadeen hurls with a snarl on her face, for a moment her eyes light with the passion and ... it strikes... and the trigger clicks! As the Baroness topples the Chief! well.. some pooka will explain that and let folks panic!

"I did it" Nadeen seems startled

"HUP!" Brekke catches her breath as she drops, and the splash is significant!

She rises from the water, not a nordic goddess, but soaked, her loose strands of hair plastered to her face, and laughing heartily

"Good sport, Chief" Vali approves

And Nadeen grabs the stuffed animal that looks like Star, and brings it Dagmar "I have won this for you" She clutches her own wolf with wings toy as well

Frank takes the last of the chickens off the grill and approaches the tank to help Brekke out.

"Well done!" Brekke congratulates the young baroness as she accepts Frank's help in climbing out. She is dripping wet, and may blush a bit.

Frank's beard does an interesting twist.

And a soft rumble.

"You did it!" A whoop, and she picks up and spins the Varich!

Brekke stands with Frank a moment at the side of the dunk tank, a quiet exchange of looks.

Nadeen laughs as she's spun

Then a shudder. "Ah! It is time to like the bonfire so I can dry off!"

And she sets Nadeen down with a gentle kiss on the cheek.

Frank squeezes Brekke's hand, and goes to where the logs are stacked and waiting.

Sylvi, having cheered Nadeen's victory, claims the stuffed beaver as the prize Colton has won for her.

Colton smiles and looks at Sylvi "I can't believe she had the nerve to take a shot at the Chieftain" Seeing her choice of Beaver, he gets a wicked look which he TRIES to conceal

Sylvi sees the look and BLUSHES. "Well, I can't choose the rabbit, Flopsy would get mad...."

"Yeah," He agrees

Adam seems preoccupied.

(He's not even hitting on anyone!)

Still sodden, Brekke follows Frank to the bonfire. Kerri finishes fussing with arranging the desserts/snacks/coffee/mead, and joins them.

"You're so good to me." Nuzzling the Varich's fair hair.

Nadeen noses her lightly

Frank takes up a torch that is staged for this purpose.

"We gather here, as friends and family, to celebrate the turning of the wheel, and the rebirth of the seasons and the world. We celebrate life, and love. Peace, and friendship. Let all here observe the Escheat, and be welcome. To growth, to renewal, to our continuation. Merry Beltaine!" He blows on the torch, which ignites with a puff of his Glamour. He uses this to light the Beltaine bonfire.

"Merry Beltaine!" is echoed by both Chieftain and Hearth.
