She blinks at them, then looks off, considering the notion. "That...is an interesting idea. Hmm."

"It was because my name was Jack, actually. Jacktually. But then I changed it to Connor so that Jack could have a name."

Nodding helpfully.

"We thought about finding a Goldy Goose, but I figured if there WAS one, Dagmar would already have it..."

"oh yeah, she totaly would"

Another moment, and then a nod. "All right, here's my idea: You will ask the Chieftain for a garden plot to make your plan happen. If she agrees, you'll prepare that garden. I'll invest in the starter beans for you to plant, BUT...fifty percent of your harvest for the first year has to go to the Lodge kitchen supply. Does that seem fair?"

"more than fair!" Jack nods "It's like, lodge land and for the good of the lodge too and it's honorable to look after each other in all kind of ways. " He's been listening to the Troll rolemodels

He looks excited, "Can I go find the Chief now?"

"I can help sniff him out!"

"Both of you go and explain to her what happened and what you want to do. And when you get back...there will be pancakes for both of you."

"He smells like truck oil and like coffee, and like the lodge and like the Chief."

Jack gives an impulsive hug and run! zoom

"Waaaaaait! I'm faster then you!" He calls as he also starts to run out, then pauses in the doorway looking back at the Hearth.

Kerri returns the hug and gives a gentle swat to see the boys on their way.

"Jack is very sorry. Even if I'm not at all."

A guilty foot shuffle.

She grins. "I know Connor. Thank you. Go on now."

He beams and then runs after Jack, clattering past the sleepers and UNDER Dagmar's legs. "Wait up!"

She hops a little as she's run through. "Oh.. jeez... Connor!"

A giggle, and out of sight.

And when the boys are gone, she starts to make pancakes...and even suggests that Dagmar take over and show Eden how it's done.

Dagmar is dubious about being In Charge of pancakes... but she can show Eden what Tove and Keri have shown her...

Kerri assures her she'll do fine, and sticks around to provide backup guidance as necessary.

Eden actually knows how to make pancakes "I read an ancient tome... on the side of a bizquick box"

"You hafta watch the bubbles to know when to flip, Tove says that's the trick..."

"Learn their weaknensses, and then turn them...mwhahaha" she says

The snake girl seems more cheerful, more geniunely so, today

"I.. sure! I wonder if we could make shapes?"

Eden smiles, then shows how using a tiny pan to make small circles to lay on the big shapes

"Oh, hey... you're good at this..."

"Oh sure, I make soufles" Then she adds "The wardens had me help now and then with church potlucks or charity for the Homeless heathens"

"But I totally ace all the boggans out there" A snort

"I've never had a souffle."

"They sound fancy." Pancake flip.

"Ah," she sighs "Sorry, I was speaking Korean where clearly you speak Japanese" she says "I think that's part of why I've got so many friends. Everyone gets me"

"Sorry..." A frown.

"I think you're a friend, though. I mean, I'd like to be."

"Oh yeah, it's totally your fault you don't speak Korean," The girl's face softens though "If I weren't evil incarnate, I'd say thank you"

"Yeah, I'm not.. " Shrug. "Sylvi's more of a talker. Siv, too."

"Oh that's horrible. Folks who prefer to listen to talking make the worst friends" The Pooka says

"Heh." A little smile at that.

A smile back, "I think that's my problem, as a troll I'm supposed to hear everyone else's story, when I'm screaming to tell mine."
