A slight sigh. "There used to be."

"ruff patch making your inner pooka pooped?"

"Perhaps. And sometimes there is little to be amused by."

"That's usually when you need your pooka the most.. kind of like a cop" A nod

An eyebrow. "A cop," she repeats dubiously.

"Never around when you need one" she quotes the maxim "SOmetimes I have trouble grabbing my troll totem when things are scary as hell and I need to stand strong, which is when it would really be handy to have a troll totem.. ." A curious look "Probably smellls like Pine. But then I think to myself of the times in the past when I was feeling trollish, and realize that there's this wheel of cheese, and eventually the gouda will come back"

The dubious look has not vanished. It has, perhaps, intensified. "Gouda. And Pine."

"Good that you'r fine, I feel alright myself, thanks for asking" A wag and attempt to cheer

That does get a brief eyeroll. "Mm."

"Thane, I understand what you are doing. I am fine."

A nod "My duty to defend the lodge is fierce" She says but then she takes a sip and nearly spits it back up "hey.. I'm sorry already, no need for a war crime" SHe seems stunned

Brekke blinks. "What?" She looks at the drink.

The pooka offers it "Yours." And she growls at a pot of coffee that is NOT Jojo

Folks will tell you that DeCaff is just as tasty as the real thing, but even above a dog pooka, if anyone can recognize the evil that is Decaff at a sniff... it's Brekke Shacklebreaker

A sniff, and a scowl. She takes the offending vessel, sets it aside as if it were a hockey player going to the penalty box, and serves Tiffany a mug of proper coffee herself.

"I promise to be good, really" She says, but also adds "Danke, Herr Chief" as the coffee, the REAL Coffeee, is poured

Brekke grumbles. "We must keep that...drink...for those who care for it. I do not."

"Lot of twisted mentalities on this planet" She says in agreement

"Mm." A nod, and she sips her own coffee.

And THAT is much better. Silent grateful pooka, Noble liege, and ..coffee real coffee

And yet..the fire flickers

trying to draw her eye.

A frown and she looks at the flame more closely, setting down her mug.

Frank is angry! She can feel it in the flame..whever he is... it's beyond what he was feeling earlier... he's found an outlet for his rage. This is a lodge, and all three, Storm, Mountain,and Hearth conttribute and are tied somewhat here to the flamee... this, plus her oath of true hearts, lets her realize frank is engaged in something violent.

And he's engaged now

TIffany doesn't know what's going on but she notices the Chief's focus "Did Timmy fall down the well?"

Brekke's on her feet. "Now what...." She heads for the door. "Thane, with me. Hearth! Stand ready!" she calls to the kitchen.

An answering mutter of "Again...?" before a louder, "I hear you, Chieftain!" Kerri is preparing to defend the Lodge, cantrips at the ready.

Thane Tiffany grabs her weapon, unloads it "Ready for the away team, Captain"
