Siv does not flinch as her mother calls out, she does raise a brow "Mother."

Brekke approaches, expecting Frank to be right behind. "Before you leave, we need to speak together."

Frank is behind Brekke, yes. Expression of gloom and doom.

"Fine, but I can't linger too long. " The rage seems spent, but walls are up, "Father."

He nods to her.

"You can, but you do not wish to. I respect that. But I do not wish there to be hurt between us. Siv...the Hearth tells me you were tasked to recover the Dawn Treader. Do I have that right?"

"I really can not linger too long, mother" She says "I have lessons and agreements made awaiting," She believes it true or so the boon would say, "However, as to the other, yes, you have that right.. Rover Olgar is not capable of driving a rig, and when I called the lodge about the bad feeling I had, he asked if I knew how... as the Hearth had decreed it be retrieved. I did not wish the vehicle tarnished so I volunteered for the task. The Choice was, ultimately, mine"

A nod. She looks to Frank. "You are angry that she took such a risk on a journey that involved much banality, despite her frailty."

At that, Siv's back stiffens a touch.

"Among other things, yes." Calmly.

"Namely?"

"I dislike being impresonated."

"And lied to."

"Lied to?"

"And I'm done here," Siv says "Mom, glad you and dad are well. "

"You will hear your father's side." Brekke says firmly. "You need not agree with it, but you will hear it."

"I do not recall lying" Siv says "And I really woudl rather NOT have to challenge me own father to a duel"

Cooly said

"When I asked how the Rig got here, Siv said Olgar probably got someone else to do it. She only admitted it was her when I got angry and asked where Olgar is. Which I would still like to know."

An eyebrow. "Then listen and explain where the confusion is."

A sigh as Frank explains. "Not a lie. An omission. And word play." A deep breath. "Frustrating, but not a lie."

"I retract the phrase, then."

A nod to Frank, an eyebrow to Siv.

A grunt "I suppose an apology on top of it would be too much to ask."

"I apologize."

Mollified some what, "Thank you. Yes, I am aware my definitions of honorable behavior is ... shall we say, broader than yours and mothers. I had hoped to spare you upset so was vague not to deceive, but ease."

"Mm. Perhaps you also found it amusing to be so?"

A hurt look at her mother , a breath, and a then, pure truth-"Actually, No, Chieftain. I did not. I was afraid father would over react, but felt I had to say something or else he'd blame Olgar for MY choices and actions. It turned out, at least for the first, and I THINK for the second, I was right. I've heard dad, accepted his apology, and I wish to go before this turns into any further insult of me or I see it as so at any rate."

Brekke nods. "That is a fuller answer, and I thank you for it." A deep breath, and exhale. Brekke's jaw is set. "Siv...you are on a path that fits you well. It would not fit either of us. Please...as you grow away from us...do not forget us. We will always love you. Travel well." And with that, she turns to head back to the Lodge, letting Siv go as she has requested.

Frank turns and walks back into the forest.

A pause, and a look towards Frank as he walks off...then she continues to the Lodge.

Siv watches her family break in three, "Jeg går dit jeg får lov til å være meg." She lifts her chin and walks off

She may hear her mother reply, "Det samme gjør vi alle." Or she may not.

The Dreaming seems to insist mother's get the last word, for Siv does hear it. She pretends she didn't, but she did.

Probably not the time Brekke wants to see Thane Tiffany, but then what young bride to be doesn't want to show off her ring to ladies she knows?

Sylvi decides to make herself scarce...but does go talk to her mother later, when she's able to locate her.

Brekke's jaw is still tight, but she nods dutiful appreciation over the ring. "It is a good ring. Congratulations to you and Vali."

"Thanks, Chieferino," Tiffany wags, "I don't know where he robbed to get it, but I approve of his new life of crime." A sigh happy "My damsel gambit paid off."

Then she tilts her head, "Uhm, Boss lady? My ultra sonic hearing can hear your teeth grinding"

"Mm." A nod at the first part, then a blink at the second. "I do not think so."

"Come on, tell anti-Tiff about it, she's much wiser than her goatee-less Tiff counter part" She offers

"Thane...." A shake of her head. "It is a family matter."

"Ouch. Yeah. Sorry, snout got into it then" APologetic "id say I know what you mean, but then I hate kids and loathe the married life, so naturally I'm engaged with a little girl as my drafted munchkin"

"Well, yes. You will do well, I believe."

Brekke does not seem much in a chatty mood. Stoic.

"Thanks, Chiefirino.. I still don't... I mean... he wants kids and I'm like , what do you want, you've got two boats and a helicopter... and.. I have to ask myself WILL I do well? Or am I going to fall into it? I mean.. I've seen it, even the greats sometimes look like they would like a bathtub of gin a joint and a plugged in toaster now and then"

Not too surprisingly, the Chieftain might be wearing that exact expression right now. But all she does is nod and say, "Mm."

"I mean, I'm not sure I'm up to that level of stress- it's why I worked bomb retreval I like low stress"

A slight wry chuckle there. "It is a different variety of stress. But...well...any upbringing one can walk away from is adequate, I suppose."

A snerk "Relax, it's like a plane crash?" A chuckle "There's more pooka to you than folks know"
