"Sorry, Adam, but I don't date diplomaless guys"

A disappointed groan. "I have a diploma from middle school....." hope springs eternal.

"Aww that's adorable. Bet you think it means something too"

And she lays out some chicken on a plate for him, then blinks at the main tray "I swear I had more chicken pieces there a moment ago. How many did I cook again?"

"Well, I did when I got it......" He sighs.

"Looks good, though." He peers from the table.

"So after I graduate?"

In the shadows, she gnaws upon the stolen wing. As is her due.

"I don't want to lead you on, Adam. And you'll find antoher girl by then I'm sure"

"Just one?"

"You sure you're not part satyr?" BROW

"Well, my mom ended up as one." Reasonably, as he eats.

"Everyone has said I have Sidhe blood, though. You've been really cool about it. And we have that in common, I guess? You're Kithain too."

"Kinain," She says "Just troll blooded. And I like you better than most sidhe" A thyought "Though Sir Carawyn is nice"

“I have Sidhe blood.” A voice pops up- Connor in the doorway. “But when I scrape my knee it looks the same as anyone else. It doesn’t even GLITTER.” Disappointed. He looks towards Adam’s plate...

"Sorry, yeah. Hey Connor. Sir who?"

“I think my puppybreath cancels it out. Sir Carawyn. He’s my new friend, we work together.”

"Connor, you want some chicken?" She is sure there was another wing

“I hate chicken!” Eyes on the plate.

"Sir Carawyn, the man who let you in?" Sally Mae reminds Adam.

Sally mae smiles "I'll get a piece without chicken bones for you" TO Connor and she prepares one

"Is that who he was?"

His tail wags. “He’s my friend. He’s pretty tall- and he’d be pretty short, too.”

"Dunno.... seemed kinda...." Shrug, eat.

"Gorgeous? Kind? Experienced?" Sally Mae finishes

"Creepy."

"Hardly" She huffs, and turns her attention back to Connor "you want some tattertots with that?"

"You don't get a creepy vibe from him?" He asks both pooka and Kinain.

"No, he's nice. " She says "And I don't say that about many sidhe. A bit too reserved maybe, too boy scout at times, but..nothing the right lady couldn't talk him out of"

“He’s got the creepyoaks. But I still like him.” Stoutly, and he nods about the tots!

“Like Mountainfrank.”

"Oh the Liam vibe? I just tune that out"

"Yeah, exactly like that. Can't put my finger on it but..... oh, is he Liam too?"

"mmm hmm of a banner house"

"What's that?" as he eats.

"A sub house I guess? " She says

“Blue and Silver, broken oathed, they protect the Mortal folk.” He parrots from a class.

And now has a mouthful of chicken.

"Huh." He chews thoughtfully.

Tatter tots are added to plates

He gobbles a tot then waves at his open mouth. “Cold cold cold!”

"Is he the only Sidhe you think is nice?"

"Nope, met some Scathach, they seem sensible... and.. there was Sparrow. I liked her"

"Ooh Connor honey, blow on them first. I'm so sorry" She fusses over the boy

He listens intently to the conversation about Sidhe, but also welcomes the pampering! “Ow ow my tongue. If only we had milkshakes..”

Adam blinks, grins at something, and swallows his mouthful. "Scathach?"

"We don't have milkshakes right now, but I can get you a cold drink . Milk okay?" To Connor

“But then we could bring all the boys to the yard.” He finishes, innocently.
