Frank picks up his glass and drinks.

"Uh, would you excuse me? I need to go upstairs and finish some homework." And talk with Colton about this.

Frank nods. "Actually.... If you will all excuse me, I think I will go to the Chieftess now."

"Of course, Mountain, thanks for the coffee and the company" The old skald nods.

Gerd sighs but nods

Sylvi's heading for the stairs, but pauses. "You okay, Gerd?"

"Just wishing I could help"

"Thank you.... have a good evening, all." And Frank goes.

Sylvi waits for Frank to go upstairs, and once he's in his room, she nods to Gerd. "I know how that feels. I mean, I used to sneak out all the time when I wasn't supposed to and go places like Firnost when I thought it might help."

"Yeah" Gerd says "And I might but... with Siv gone I find my own work load increased, and I'm not bitching I..." She eyes The skald.

The skald says "Oh dear, grump alert?" A smile

Sylvi grins at Torin. "I don't think he heard you, Gerd. He was playing music, right?" And she heads upstairs.

"You know us old folks, bad hearing, can only focus on one thing at a time." He strums

Gerd smiles, and kisses the old man on the cheek, then says "Scuse me" And she follows Sylvi up whispering "What about connor? "

Sylvi waves her into her room. "What do you mean?" she whispers.

SHe looks up, down, all round, then once satisfied "I love him, but he hates being left out. If he tags along and it is dangerous..well.. I won't flicker flash him there but he knows the trods to Firnost"

"Well, yeah, but...he's feeling all responsible about taking care of Tove and working with Jaymes right now, right? So maybe he'll be too distracted by that?"

"Maybe" She nods "I have to be careful though, if this one eyed boggan is as cunning as he says, I need to take it slow"

"Yeah. Gerd, he's...he's really...he seems like a really nice guy. I mean, I met him first when I was about your age, at Firnost. But I know the Mountain's known him for longer, so...don't trust him, okay?"

"Fool me once" She nods "Maybe I'll gete the old man to wake up for this one"

"Oh, I think that's a good idea. I hope he gives you a bit of help, and not too much grief."

"Mostly he makes me want to fall to sleep" She says "Now young lady or 'back in the day'"

Sylvi giggles quietly. "I hear that."

"That must be so weird."

"He's preachy, but sometimes useful.. knows things... I could tell you call signs used during the accordance war"

A blink. "Call signs?"

"Sure...like military call signs... and codes for specific attacks, the names of soldiers long passed. Uhm.. you know like Maverick and Ice Man in that old Top Gun movie? That and more"

"Huh." She thinks. "That...that could maybe be useful sometime. I mean, it's not like we're at war now, but ...well, secret codes can come in handy. And it could be, like, sort of a legitimacy test when you're trying to talk with some other fae who remembers that time."

A brow and a sly smile "That means I get to pick everyone's call signs? "

A wince. "Uh...since I gave you the idea, will you go easy on me with that?"

"Sure thing, Cover girl" A pause "or maybe Vogue"

A bit of an eye roll, but also a grin. "If those are the choices, I like Cover Girl better."

"Hey, beats Mirrorkisser" but a smile "Cover Girl works"

A sour look at that one. "I'll take it."

"I tease" She says "Besides, you don't kiss the mirror, you use it as a tool. I've seen your videos"

The sourness fades. "Thanks. Heck, you've been in a few. We should do another one soon, huh?"

"Yeah, please. I'm trying to ...well, keep the goth but not too stark? Maybe a transition"

"Ohhh...can I try a kind of smoky eye on you? Like, goth, but without the sharp line edges."

"Sure, you think my face is good for it? "

"Anybody can do a smoky eye, it's all about the angles. Yeah, we can do it. But right now...I kinda gotta get ready for bed." Apologetic. "You...d'you want to stay over?" An offer.

"Yeah.. I think Tiffany is gonna give Vali 'moral support' sex as he's kind of bummed about Piper's response"

"So.. can miss" She says

She blushes and laughs. "Yeah, probably worth missing. Cool, let me get the cot for you." And she starts to set up the space for a sleep over.
