"Out. Adam, she's still chimera... pure dream.... mortal considerations are hard for her. She wasn't bound to you, or even strongly asscoated with you. You helped give her shape, I gave her glamour, but her essence isn't one of loyalty, it's one of Spring. Why would she stay?"

Olgar sips

"I guess." A little disappointed, "Still. That was pretty cool." A grin. "Thanks, Mr Davidson!"

"You're welcome, and good attitude." A grunt of approval? "Too many would see that as a loss because a dream moved on instaed of remembering that Dream got a boost from them. You may see her again, who knows, but no one would see her again if it weren't for you." A lift of beer can

"And me too" He says then adds "Mostly me"

And drinks

"Well, yeah, I wish she had stayed but.... you know, she has to be who she is."

A nod, "Like you need to be you. And as you is a student, you should get back to class"

"Well, it's already almost lunch. I mean, the day is practically over....."

"Then you better get there before you miss those last two... oh three periods.. more like half over isn't it? Adam..as it is, your folks might understand you tried to save a part of the Dreaming... but if you miss the whole day when you don'tr gotta? is it really worth risking the grounding?"

"No......" bummed "ok." And heads off, although not as fast as he came.

And back to school he goes.

Olgar breathes slow. Dreamcraft or not, that was...costly.

Oh well, nothing glamour can't fix and beer can't take the edge off.

After school, after practice, after texting with her boyfriend on the walk home, Sylvi comes back to the Lodge and sets her backpack aside. She's still grinning about something, maybe the last text she received.

Olgar dozes lightly, looking for a moment older than the grump is.

When she spots her dad, at first she sort of rolls her eyes... Wow, he's totally doing the sit-com dad thing! But then she does notice his...paleness.

She hesitates, then gets a bit closer, frowning.

"Take a picture, it lasts longer"

A grunt

"Oh. Hey." A sheepish tone. Then, after a pause. "Um...you okay, Dad?"

"Just a tapped out, Sylvi ," He says "used a lot of glamour up today. Maybe too soon after the rescue. Good work the other day by the way. I was kind of worried you and colton were going to distract each other, slow each other down... but I do believe working together might have actually motivated you to do your best even more. Not bad. " A grunt of approval "And you kept that fight from happening over the dross. Good work"

She grins. "Colton and I have quested together, Dad. I mean, okay, that was before we were really dating, but still...we're not stupid. When stuff's gotta get done...." She leaves the rest expressed with a shrug.

"Thanks, though. You were pretty cool, too." Total understatement: her dad was amazing, and she knows it.

"Then you're the consummate pro. " A nod "Your mom and I both taught you that...but you've got her style doing it." At her praise "Oh your old man is just too stubborn to sleep on the job."

Jack storms in peeks, looks disappointed, and sighs

"Looks like you kind of need it now, though. No offense."

Sylvi looks at the young satyr. "You looking for Connor, Jack?"

"Well, Adam wanted to save a chimera. Not nab.. little bit of fluff... would have faded naturally. But I think he's not grasped the fact that some chimera are about as much personality as vending machines." Olgar says

"Connor or Frank Mountain or Chief Shacklebrekker" He says leaning as if hoping to see one of them behind her

"He wanted to save a chimera? But...why's that got you all worn out?"

"Maybe I can help, Jack? I mean, until they get here?"

"It was just a bit of sunlight and breeze. A dreamer was wishing Spring would get here. I used some of my glamour and his imagination to upgrade it."

Suddenly, Sylvi's attention is no longer divided; it's all focused on her dad. "You spent your own glamour to craft a chimera?" She has an almost overwhelming urge to feel her father's forehead. "Dad...." A scolding tone.

"Hey, I have the Dreamcraft art, it has it's uses. Sides, it became a challenge. You know how i am...I mean, first it was 'oh great, a crying kinian is all I need' then it turned to 'you know, I bet I could pull it off' and well, by then, my masculinity was in the driver's seat and you know how that can get."

"Oh, geez. Look...hang on, I have some spare dross in my room." She stands. "Be right back." Heading for the stairs.

Jack flap eyes Olgar, "you low on glamour?"

"Lil bit" The Rover says

Sylvi vanishes into her room.

"Well, you can't ravage... " The boy says "I got taught a song about that that.... Mountain says it's a good one."

A groan from Olgar

She hurries back down with a few "coins" that some Dreamer kid made out of air-dry clay...really pretty colors and patterns. "I've been saving these," she says as she offers them to her father.

Taking that as a yes, the boy says "Oh the right to dream, at first may seem, to be quite needless. But unless you want Eternal Winter to eat all our faces, and gray our places, you'll find that we need this! Oh don't be a Ravager scum! Gee it's really really dum... if you steal glamour fast, then the glamour won't last..."

Olgar looks to his daughter as the boy sings thiss public service announcement and mouths 'kill me'

"and all fae are off the feed list! Oh Dreamers are our friends, better to visit now and then, to be a greedy Ravager scum! Musing nice and slow, is the way to go... that's how our summers are won! Now you know the song, you can sing along, and yes you're using your bean. Never forget, how important it, is to respect the right to Dreaam"

The boy says then says 'Tada"

A dubious look at the satyr at first, then a shrug to her father, mouthing back, you earned this.

He coughs "I added the 'taddah' but there was no gift involved "

"It's...catchy," Sylvi says as she presses the dross into her father's hands.
