"Ah." A nod. "I think we are done for now. Please." She nods for Lucia to take the ring.

Lucia bows, then draws her own short blade. And does some maneuvers with it. Her wings are incorporated... Brekke can see the girl uses them as distractions even when fighting no one. A shame she can't fly, it would be an interesting aerial advantage. Adam might notice her patterns arent' far off from what he was just learning.

Brekke watches quietly from the sidelines.

Brekke can see that Sylvi's methods were used...clearly she's the one who first taught her friend. Not that Brekke might chastise, but that may mean some needless flourish (;) )

She lets the girl work until she's a bit winded, and Adam has likely recovered his breath.

Indeed a few huffs. Though it is clear working in the food service industry has helped her physicality so she doesn't tire too quickly

She does take a break

Brekke offers her a water. "You are doing well. When you are ready, I would like to see you and Adam practice together." She looks to Adam to get his response.

Adam nods, agreement... a cocky grin.

"Certainly" She says, putting away her chimerical steel blade to get a practice one, "I'm not very advanced" She admits "just enough to survive maybe"

Adam struts forward, salutes and bows.

"Do not spar yet. Lucia, you saw that pattern we used. Can you do it?"

"Yes, Chieftain. I think so," And she assumes the position

After an Italian style bow herself

"Slowly then. My count." She takes her practice blade and taps out a slow 1...2...3...4 on the rail of the practice ring.

Adam is clearly frustrated, but he follows. Slowly. So slowly.

And she does, slowly, following it. Cheerleading has lead her with info on how to follow a routine

less frustrated, it would seem Lucia is okay taking it slow

Brekke may note Adam's frustration, but she does not comment. Nor does she increase the pace...at least not until he gets over himself a bit.

The boy plods on, methodical.

After a little bit, when he moves from resentment to merely plodding, she relents and increases the pace a bit.

And Lucia picks up the pace.

He comes along easily, beating back as taught. 1-2-3-4..... 1-2-3-4..... 1-2-3-4.....

Brekke finally says, "In your own time, then." She steps back and stops giving them the pacing, but watches carefully.

And testing pattern, matching moves

A spark, and Adam steps forward to meet the pattern, engaging!

And he maybe surprised at how fit a cheerleader turned slayer adventurer can be. Lucia seems to be humble but determined in her own style

Crap, ok, he didn't see that.... but NOW he does!

Attack!

And she is pushed back, one two steps...

then something snaps to the side of his ear

An eyebrow.

as a wing closes and flaps there

Adam flinches, looking to his ear..........

And gets tagged by the practice blade

"my point, I think" the boggan says

And yes, she looks a little pleased with herself

"She has the advantage of wings," Brekke points out quietly. "What are your advantages?"

Adam ruffles. "What? I'm better at -real- sports....."

"He's taller" She observes then winces " I wasn't supposed to be the one to say that was I?"

Then her eyes narrow a bit "Cheerleading IS a sport"

"Everyone is taller than you. And....sure." Smug.

A frown from the Chieftain. "As Lucia points out...you are taller. You also have reach. And...your practice is done for the day, Adam."

Lucia's wings have fluffed a bit, but they smooth as practice is declared done.

"No, I can beat her." He squares up again.

"C'mon."

"No. You are done. Leave the ring."

"Lucia, stay there, please."

"What? Why?"

"Yes, Chieftain" She says
