Frank finds Gerd seeking him out

Frank is working in the garden; it's early yet, but the hardware can get fixed before planting.

Gerd joins her, "Can I help you? Mountain?"

"Hello Gerd. Yes, if you'd like. Can you steady that end of the rail?"

"Sure" She steadies it with a good grip "I thought you might be feeling worried. I thought maybe I could cheer you up. Nothing like a goth to spread sunshine"

a bit of a smile

A grunt; relatively companionable.

"Theyr'e going to be all right,": She says working, "Back soon, safe and sound, and probably having caused chaos"

Frank nods, securing the rail in place and moving to the next one; she can see what needs holding.

She moves to do the same, "Good you're keeping your hands busy at least. Helps you focus I know. Later you can show Siv the garden."

"Needed doing."

"Vali is a joker, but he's powerful in ice magics and knows the seas of the dreaming pretty well" A nod "And Jaymes is steady as a rock"

A nod of agreement.

"Okay. How's my reassuring going?"

"Doing fine, Gerd."

"Thanks. The old man told me you might need some cheering up. Has all sorts of advice... everything from really old boring stories of his own life and trials , to getting you drunk. You understand if I skip both of those I hope?"

"Not getting drunk." He agrees.

"Well, in his boring story, he was going on about the first time he ever let a someonee HE promoted lead their own squad... and lost contact with them for a month. Guy was like a son to him"

"Apparently, the kid done good, came back a month later with a victory report. Vegard asked when that victory happened, guy admitted it was DAYS ago, but they celebreated for a few days.. no worry right?" A pause "Vegard dropped him in a lake. Then promoted him again. Both were need ful"

Frank nods. "Vegard dropped a lot of people in a lake." Next rail.

"Yeah, but he couldn';t flicker flash folks back then... he just grabbed him and chucked"

"More impressive, in a way."

"I think that's how got a taste for it" A pause "Okay, how is THIS suppose to make you feel better?" She asks Frank "is it possible for a soul remnant to go senile?"

Touching the side of her head "geez he did not like that comment"

"Since you came to us, I did some reading. I didn't see anything about past lives getting pushy. Is it a real problem?" More than he's said in two weeks.....

"It comes and goes... seems to be have come in since my Togail, but spiked with dragon's death.. Sometimes I think maybe a part of me LETS him through.. to stop myself from my disorder"

A grunt. "Not a bad thing, then."

"Annoying, and I worry sometime, but no, not a bad thing" A sniff "HE's proud of you by the way...blah blah 'boy done good'. I tried to explain to him how weird it is him calling you 'young man' or saying 'well done boy'. You're like..old"

A nod. "That I am." Next rail.

"But... pretty cool for an old guy" She admits

"Thank you." He finishes and straightens, dusting off his hands. "And for the help."

She has been helping while talking "Sure"

And they go to wash up
