"Lyron, can we talk?" Carawyn asks the satyr as Sally Mae works in the kitchen.

"Yeah, sure man" he says "Sally Mae keeps chasing me out of the kitchen anyway' A grin

"Yes, about that," And the two pull further away so Sally mae won't accidentally overhear

but what could two guys trying to avoid a woman be talking about?

Sally Mae peeks out of the kitchen, "Where on Earth did Carawyn and Lyron go?"

"Huh?" Sylvi looks up from working on her nails. "Um...they were here a few minutes ago, but they went out." She nods toward the front door.

"Out?" The kinian raises a brow "How the heck am I supposed to flirt with one and let the other flirt with me if they leave?"

Sylvi grins. "Welllllll...." Another glance toward the door. "You might not have to do a lot of active work on that matter. They were kinda arguing about you when they left. They didn't think I heard."

Footsteps on gravel.

"Well, there's something" She tilts her head, "I'm trying to decide whether to be offended or flattered or both. Your mom would probably warn me I was heading towards shallow." Then "But if they actually FIGHT i'll give them both what for."

Sylvi shrugs. "Well, yeah...but do you have a favorite?" Then she looks at the door, hearing the footsteps.

Frank enters, and toes off his boots before stepping too far into the room.

"Actually, I like them bo-" Then she turns "Mountain, can I get you some coffee or anything?"

"Hm?" He seems distant.

Oak walks up and rubs against Frank

"Hey there....." He drops down and pets....well, almost cuddles.... the dog.

"Evening, Mountain. " She waves, and then blows on her drying nails.

"I was wondering if you wanted coffee or the like?" Sally Mae tries again

"No."

"Thank you, Sally Mae."

"Can I get you anything, Sylvi ? " She says "Oh, lovely color there" At the nails

"Oh, would you? Pomegranate seltzer. NOT Debuke pomegranate!" she clarifies with a smile. "And thanks. I'm thinking of this shade for Carnivale."

Frank stands and goes towards his desk.

"They've got Aunt Jean Jo with a shot gun guarding it" Sally mae says, then goes to get the 'regular' sort

When SallyMae goes into the kitchen, Sylvi turns to Frank. "Uncle Frank? You okay?"

"Yes."

Sally Mae comes out with the juice, "Carnivale's a blast...one of my favorite holidays" She sets it down

Sylvi looks like she might ask something else, but then SallyMae's back. "Thanks. Do you have Carnivale plans, SallyMae?"

He stops, looking at his desk. His shoulders shift.

"I...." then she sighs "I don't know. Normally DeBukes go pester Noble holds. But I may forgo or do my own thing" She looks to the Mountain "Mountain, Jaymes is with her. You know he'll fight like the devil to protect them both, sir" respect

A grunt of acknowledgement.

Oak sighs

and lay near frank's feet to share in their dislike of missing people

"What about your plans, Sylvi?" Sally mae says

"Oh. Um...nothing special."

Okay, it doesn't take a Gwydion to know that might not be entirely true.

Frank looks up the stairs.

"Mountain? Are you and the Chieftain going to be going to Caer Falken for Carnivale?"

A shrug. He's not sure.

Oak gives a huff.

She looks to Sally Mae.

Sally Mae gives a shrug to Sylvi in a 'what can you do?' gesture, but she tries, "How about some food, Mountain. Dinner might be a bit late."

He clears his throat. "Sure. Let me clean up." He heads upstairs.

She watches him go, then looks to Sylvi, "It's Siv being away on that quest out of the blue. Tove came by earlier to '

'help' " She says with quotes "She cooked a hill sized bunch of food and talked the entire time about what they're up to and how she does not like this one bit and what if she loses them both and so on... "

"Both of them being Dagmar and jaymes, of course." She says "And...it seems Mountain Frank's as closed off as she is agitated"

Sylvi sighs. "You'd think that with all the adventuring that people do around here, we'd be more okay about it than this."

"You'd think, but I've seen it again and again, fathers, troll kithain or kinian, get powerful protective and stay that way. Gods bless em, I suppose it's our own fault. We wrap em about our fingers young, then can't shake em off"
