And Dagmar hears what few details Gerd knows

"So it looks like they're going questing to bring this lost mask from Thyle that Tove's mother carved, and they had to leave behind. Can you believe it? They're working on a quest?"

"Tove's mom died, right? Long ago?"

"...And they're going without me?"

"I don't know, they're going without TOVE for sure" She says "Maybe they were going to invite you? Maybe they want you to watch Tove?" Only now does Gerd realize she may have done this..wrong.

"I.. I mean, Tove's vulnerable..."

"Why dont you ask them to let you come along. I can protect Tove." She offers

"I mean, I'm no warrior, but who better to whisk her to safety in case of danger?" An offer

"True!"

"I'll ask"

Gerd nods. She had not meant to distress her and is glad to have provided a reasonable alternative. And if they want to tell her no? That's THEIR problem

"You've been itching for a quest anyway I think, and this would be a cause you believe in"

"Exactly. And she'll have something of her mom's..."

"Like, she's gonna be a mom.."

"She's going to be a mom again" A nod ,and yes, the word inserted

"I think I see your point. It's kind of your family inheirtance too"

"Well, no..."

"But I wanna.. I wanna, like, help."

"of course. You love Tove too. And..well, i know you're not JUST muscle and a weapon? But damn, you smash well and that's a useful skill if I recall from our last D&D Game" A smile

"I am very good at being muscle with a weapon."

"DEFINITELY" A firm nod.

"mm if they're returning to Thyle... they'll go by ship I think? SIv may be annoyed she's left out, but she'll live. Shame is yhou can't take Star."

Sigh. "Yeah."

"Heard about Thyle - kind of curious about it."

"Tove does not remember it fondly. I've heard stories. ...but it should be better now. They put in a new High Chieftain."

"Go find your dad and ask." she says "I got you covered whatever you need. Connor and I will feed the horses"

"Thank you, Gerd!"

"You'd do it for me if I went questing" And she waves.

Dagmar heads off.. to find her dad, and hint strongly..well, ASK to go.
