"She used to hum to herself when she cooked or cleaned."

"That sounds nice."

"It was, she said she couldn't always remember the words." A pause "She liked country, but it wasn't bad. Lots of Dolly Parton."

"I'm sure she'd be glad that you remember her. Even if you don't know all the words, neither."

"You are too sweet" She kisses his cheek, "And yeah. Sometimes a hum is enough if it's done with love." A pause "Okay, that sounds kind of lame but you know what i mean"

"Mmm-hmmm!" He hums with a grin. "Do you need more help with the boxes?"

"Yeah, come on, you'll help me set up my room at the other house so you'll know where to find it and so I can't hide, sound good?"

"Ummm.. Okay." A slight hesitation, but then he agrees. "I am good at moving boxes. Just ask Jaymes."

"You, may hold this" She gives him a single candle stick holder

He laughs, holding it aloft like a baton. "I can be Parade Connor. Like the Marshall, except that's not my name."

"Hey, be proud, that was my first witchy thing. Candles are very symbolic." A smile "And out we go.." She takes a bit of dross, sprinkles it over both ,and they vanish

"Yip!" Surprised, and flashed away before he can even finish his bark.

Siv walks in, and opens the door VERY quietly.

Until the dogs bark, "shhhhh" She winces

They shhh

And Siv mutters, pets them, "Okay. I think it is safe to say I am learning my boundaries." One eye is more open than the other. "Gods."

Frank pushes the swinging kitchen door open and looks to see who it is......

Siv has sat down on the sofa, craddling her head in her hands

"Siv?" He rumbles, concerned. "What's wrong?" He comes out, in his sock-feet, thankfully.

"Oh. I'm fine dad, just..." A a blink "Some ...endurance tests"

"Endurance tests?" Still worried, he kneels in front of her to check her out.

Frank might recognize signs of a hang over, or he might not

"To see how much of things I could handle"

"Liquid things?" Dryly.

"Yes, dad. " Siv says "Don't worry, I didn't drive. Worse thing I did was sing and dance."

"Hmmmphm."

"I know, I know, not 21. But we both know that's one mortal law that gets ignored a wee bit in freeholds. I need to know my limits so I can't be taken advantage of. It's.." A wince "A good idea"

"Were you -in- a freehold? Siv, if you were to be arrested and jailed......."

"I'm not an idiot, dad I.." A bit testy then "Yes, I was in a hold the whole time"

"Sorry" She adds, "Bit surly"

A grunt, and Frank stands.

He returns to the kitchen.

She keeps her eyes closed. The light hates her now.

Frank emerges with a tall bottle of water with a lid, straw, and bite-valve attached, and a second bottle of sports drink.

He comes over to Siv and offers his hand. "Come on. Time for bed."

"It's the morning dad" She points out

"Yep." Hand still out.

She sighs and complies, taking his hand

He raises her to her feet and slips an arm around her to walk her upstairs to her room. "Drink a little from these when you can, keep the curtains drawn, and when you can, take a shower. It will help."

"Okay." She says "Don't tell Jonas" She asks as she's guided

"Tell him what?"

"That I got drunk or hung over. He's fussy enough as it is and will go on about how I shouldn't jump through hoops for House Fiona"

"I don't understand, tell who about what?"

He opens her door and they go inside where he tucks her in, like when she was little.

"I..." She blinks "Nevermind." Then she's tucked "Thanks, Dad"

A grunt; her shoes are off, clothes loosened for comfort, drinks on the nightstand, curtains drawn.

"Get some rest, Siv. Love you."

She takes a sip.

And nods "Okay. love you too, dad"
