"It might be to you, and that's okay." She says "I know that I ...I would like some respect too." A sigh

"People respect the Shit out of -you.-" Adam blurts.

Sally Mae raised a brow, "I thank you, but not so sure. I mean, the Hearth perhaps, and I value it."

It looks for a moment as though Adam will argue, but he doesn't. " okay, so..... Yeah."

" guess I'll get home."

"wait a moment, please" She says as she cooks, "I was feeling a bit sorry for myself, and maybe I'm fishing, but.. have your heard what the others say about me or something? I could use good news"

" it's not so much what people say as the vibe of the thing. I like..... You are the hearth's right hand. It took three or four people to fill in for you while she's sick. And believe me they know it. Cervelli was working with my dad on some Financial stuff, I brought the papers over? But I bet you're the one that's really going to look at it." A shrug. " stuff like that."

A light blush, "I.. thank you," she says "I will look at them, but I may not be the only. Hearth Kerri knows how to make a penny dance when she needs to, but..." A pause "Oh Adam I'm so sorry, I forgot. Could you get my purse over there ? I have something for you"

Adam just as she asks.

She takes out something, a small touch pad "Here we go, ..." A voice chimes, only the enchanted hear it "Dreamnet is on the web" a chimerical spider moves along the screen, then spins a browswer "And voila.....I have it bookmarked and... " She hands it to him. It's open to a webpage "Heart of Knight Transit!" it says

"See what you think. I have rates, rules, limitations..."

Adam explores it, and nods tentatively then, he nods with excitement.

"Now it's not accessable to others yet, had to make sure you liked it" She says "But we can shift the logo or work on bthe name if you don't like Heart of Knight Transit"

" no, that sounds okay. But..... Just had to cost something." He looks at the troll kin, concerned.

"Actually, not as much as you think. Chimeranet is not as capatlistic as some, and the fee is very reasonable. Besides, I'm thinking of helping you organize this for a percentage so I can cover hte up front costs"

She smiles "I think we could recruit some other folks, and make a small enterprise of this, if you like."

Adam struggles a moment, then nod. "Ok. Sure."

"We start small I think to test it, you've got priority."

She excitedly shows him how much he can make, with some variation depending on dross or money

"I suggest you let them make the payment selection, that way they will be more likely to go to you. Some are dross rich ,some are money rich, or at least comparitively"

Adam nods. "That makes sense, sure. Ok. Thanks, Sally Mae. See, another thing you're good at."

"Thank you. Now, I know you'll have a million questions so you look that over, we'll set it up how you like. I think Heart of KNight Transit was a name you'd liike since, well, you have one" She says offhandedly

"Yeah. Maybe one day." Quietly; the glitter of a new toy to play with dims slightly as he thinks. "Shit."

"What's wrong?" She says "Did I get the logo wrong?"

"No, just.... thinking about something. Hey, do you know when the Chief will be back?"

"Evening probably" she says "You can leave a letter but I know that's not very satisfying"

"Nah, could... could you tell... ask her for me? I'd like to talk with her, uh, in private."

"Sure. I can tell her you were looking and you'd like a ... well, I guess a private audience" she agreed

"Yeah. Thanks." He picks up the tablet again and examines it. "Could I take this with me?"

"Sure. Like I said, I know you'd need time. Feel free to let me know if you want to tweak it or anything. It's not up and running yet."

"Ok, thanks. Uh. Anything else I can do?"

"Well, if you want to help patrol again soon, I Know they can use it, but your feet probably get tired." A pause "you want anything to eat now by the way? I'm cooking for tonight b ut I can whip something up"

"Oh, uh, no thank you. I mean..." He thinks. "How about I patrol and then stop back by?"

"Sure!"

and off he goes, while she goes back to cooking
