"Thank you. And.." A breath "I can't believe I' msaying this, but I think I need to remind myself Snow is who she is and put away some of the anger I feel for her. She clearly was worried about Connor...and in her worries might have thought even less about messes than she usually does"

HUFF.

Gesture.

And she tromps outside.

Sally Mae sighs and watches her go "Way to go, Sally Mae. Some Hearth you'd be losing it like that right off. Dagmar's gone Gwydion, what's MY excuse for temper?" She goes back to cleaning in the kitchen. This must be done.

And outside at the stables, the horses , having been tended, seem surprised to see her again

"Hey Star. You up for a run, girl?"

Ears perk up, and her eyes look to beyond the gate. Oh yes.

"Good girl." A pat of the neck before she gathers up the tack.

Stormwake tries not to look TOO Envious

"Next time." A promise to Stormwake.

Soon she is mounted on Star.

FInally, properly saddled!

Star seems to sense some frustration, and joins in, stamping a bit, ready to go

She guides Star to the gate, maneuvering through and latching it behind - now, out and free, and time to run!

And OFF! Star breaks out in a rush of thundering hooves as if she was chasing the devil and going to bite him on his little forked tail!

Into the woods, along the back trails - far and fast and free!

Sky Wolves over head seem to nod from above... and veer off as she out paces them!

She laughs, the energy finding a more positive vent!

A large glome, Klump, waves as she races by, a smile on his face. He does not try to detain her.

A wave to her good friend, a shouted greeting in passing.

"Have fun, little thunder" she can hear his response.

The Dryad sleeps snoozing, no flirting from her.

And even the trees themselves seem to greet her, some with limbs like waving, some more hurumph 'animal folk' attitudes, and most just sleepily, it is winter after all...

All good. Star is young, too - how often does she really get to fly?

...perhaps they are deep enough in the woods for it to be quite safe...

One has to be careful, tree roots can be dangerous to horses, yet Star is no ordinary horse, but a fae steed, smarter than most, and she seems to have good night vision for an equine, and steady placement of her hooves even at rapid speed.

A bit of will - the treasure woven into the saddle...

And wings burst forth!

"C'mon, Star - fly!"

She pushes off, start it as a jump, yes, she's jumped fences before. Just jump, and decline going down!

"Yes!"

A flap, strong and powerful, of wings! And up they go... oh, trees.. need a hole in the canopy!

There! A natural gap!

And a slight tilt (Hang on there, Dagmar) and through the green into the sky!

Below Dagmar, the green wood looms like a carpet , above her? the darkening but still blue sky!

"Star in the stars!" She declares, pleased!

Star is so excited she forgets to be smug!!

See if Stormwake can do THIS!

One Sky Wolf nearly runs into a tree out of surprise of a horse ABOVE him.

A squirrel drops her nuts!

Solstice near the boat house, opens one eye, sees this, and decides to stay in bed.

A few good loops around the lake later, Dag urges Star back to the ground.

Gerd waves from the ground "You're stealing my shtick!" She calls up

Hers? HA! Star owns the sky now. oH, you want down? yes.. err ..how do we do that? Angle.. yes, okay

"Am not!" A shout back.

"Oh, my clever Star!" When she figures out how to backwing down.
