Adam is on patrol. He has his stick and his mace, but does not wear his voile.

He walks the hard streets of Rivervale NJ.

Dagmar is on her way to the Lodge, post-dinner.

Sylvi, with Oak, is finishing up a quick jog, heading back to the Lodge herself.

Oak, panting, lets out a whuff! of greeting. "Hey, Adam!" Sylvi is also panting a bit as she slows to a stop.

"Oh, hey. 'Sup?"

"Hey, Oak." He grins and strokes.

"Not a lot. Well, not a lot for me, anyway. You heard the latest about Dagmar?"

"She ok?"

Alert and concerned.

"Yup." Sylvi stretches out her sides, reaching and bending while they talk. "But somebody tried to steal Stormwake while we were at Jessica's thing, and Dagmar totally did the jousting thing again with Star. Caught the bad guys."

He grins. "She did? Damn right she did."

"Annnnd..." she grins at the final reveal. "The Chieftain said that Star is Dagmar's horse, now."

"Yeah? Cool."

"Dag likes animals."

"Well, yeah, but this is...this is....she's a knight," she explains. "And now she's got her horse. It's, like, supposed to be. It's a Big Thing that she's earned." Trying to get him to understand that this is more than just another animal.

Then a speculative look. "Hey...have you ridden at all?"

"Some. The big one, Stormwake? He's good."

"But... For Dag? I'm really glad."

"I mean, that doesn't mean anything, but.... I'm glad."

A shrug. "It doesn't not mean anything." She resumes walking towards the Lodge. "She'd appreciate it. I think." A curious look. "Are you guys back to training again, yet?"

A shrug. "No." He follows her.

Dag is inside the Lodge, working on maaaaaaaaaath.

"Oh." A few more steps. "You're not fighting, right?"

In the Lodge, Kerri provides motivational cookies and Dr. Pepper.

"Fighting?"

"I mean...arguing?"

"Argu.... Dag and me? No." Adam hunts along the trail.....

Kerri is the best!

(SHE IS!)

"Then...well, okay." She branches off towards the Lodge, Oak trotting on ahead. A pause to look back at him. "You coming, or still patrolling?"

Adam shrugs. "My job is to patrol."

"Uh, not all the time, I'm thinking, but if you've still got duty now, go for it." She heads to the Lodge. "See ya."

If Adam chooses to follow, he's not discouraged...but soon enough she's at the Lodge. She holds the door open for Oak, "...but wipe your paws."

Adam keeps to his patrol schedule.

Oak is happily waggy as he wipes paws, then goes over to say hello to Dagmar.

Sylvi shuts the door. "Hey, Dagmar. Homework?"

"Oak!" Ear-rumples. "Hey Sylvi. Yeah, math. Your mom made oatmeal cookies."

"With raisins?" She hangs up her coat.

"Uh-huh."

"SO they're obviously healthier."

"I like 'em with raisins. Haters gonna hate." She takes a seat and grabs a cookie.

"Mmmm."

"Right?"

Sylvi sits quietly for a couple of minutes while Dagmar works the math.

Siiiigh. "I swear, the worst." She sits back. "Like, I just don't care about it."

"Yeah, that's the tough part. Trying to get stuff done when you just don't care."

Another cookie. "Ran into Adam on the way back here. Patrolling."

"I care to stay on track. So I need at least C's."
