"In the Eye, In the Eye.." A challenge "Look me in the Eye"

A nod "Oh yes, her music is older than you. "

"I mean a YOU youtube."

Tove blushes "Thank you. As a matter of fact I did cover a few of her songs, but not that one on my channel yet. "

"Well, you could. Hey, Nadeen, want snacks? Tove?"

"I would not say no," Nadeen says then looks to Tove "if it's okay?"

"Well, normally we'd practice a bit more but I do feel a bit bushed" Tove admits

"I'll make popcorn!" She starts downstairs.

"Tove?" Nadeen says "Are you feeling okay?"

"I'm fine.." Tove shushes, and is glad her daughter is out of ear shot

Dag puts the popcorn in the microwave, and is also getting out glasses for drinks.

"If you say" Nadeen says "But Dagmar will nhot like it if you lie to her."

"Gwydions are fussy like that" Tove says

Slowly, both come down the steps... and if Tove has her way, Dagmar won't see her taking it slow

"Guuyyyysssss, what's taking so long?"

Nadeen shoots Tove a look, but simply says "Oh now, relax, Dagmar"

And Tove picks up the pace

"Tove, I had an idea, you'll see.."

The microwave beeps again. What is she up to?

When they get to the kitchen, Dag is whisking a bowl.

Tove comes in and looks "An idea?"

"For you! Sniff!" She holds it out - it's melted butter, but MORE. Garlic, paprika, cumin, a dash of hot sauce...

A sniff "Oh my"

"Right? I saw a thing online..."

"Well, let's try it, shall we?" She sits down

"Nadeen, you okay with spicy?"

"I could portion yours out first..."

"Just keep the water handy is all I ask," Nadeen says "or maybe cold milk?"

"Milk for spicy." She nods, and drizzles the butter into the bowl. It turns the popped kernels an orangey-red.

"Dad would hate this!"

Tove tries it.

She samples

She savors

Then.. "I like this" A smile "it's very nice!"

Dag grins. "Cool." Now she eats.

Nadeen begins to sweat, and then scrambles to reach the milk

...Dagmar also gets a glass when her eyes water.

Tove however seems quite happy

"How does she do that?" Nadeen says after her first slurp of ice cold white salvation

"I think it's magic," Dag confides in a stage whisper.

"Well, she IS good with Pyretics" Nadeen mutters

"Ooo, yeah. Maybe she's a firebender?"

Tove sets a candle wick on fire

"Show-off."

"Me? Want attention?" A flutter of lashes, "Do you mind if I play with this recipe? "

"Well, sure. I added the Frank's...."

"You're not going to make it.. hotter are you?" Nadeen says alarmed

"I bet she would...."

"We'll see," Tove smiles

"Oh jeez..."
