"Yeah."

"Dammit...." Sylvi paces a bit, frowning. Then she looks at them. "You can't do the pig-shit thing. You can't. It won't work."

"Why the ..oh, right. Stupid Sidhe birthright"

She punches the downed popping jay

"What if we just pick him up and dump him in the fertilizer?"

"Well, yeah, it won't work because of the birthright thing, but it also won't work. It won't do what you want it to do." Sylvi leans on the rail of the fence around the training ring. "He made you feel small and foolish. That won't make him feel the same."

"I could punch him until he apologizes."

"That'll just get you in trouble, Dagmar" A sniff and look at Sylvi "So.. he gets away with it?"

"Maybe, Dagmar. I mean, yeah, you could champion Gerd. Formally."

A shrug. "It won't get her in trouble if she does it by the book."

"But...that means you have to be okay with making it all public, Gerd."

"Like... a duel?"

Gerd frowns "I should fight my own fights, shouldn't I?"

"Yeah, like a duel. And yeah, you could challenge him yourself, Gerd. I'm not saying it's a good idea, though. But it's closer to being effective than dumping him in a sty."

"Hmph."

"Gerd...what's his rank?"

She paces "He's a knight..so he outranks me"

"Who's his liege?"

"Baron K I think"

"Well, I'm a knight."

"Oh I can't even challenge him by his stupid rules. THis sucks"

Gerd looks at Dagmar "Wait, Dagmar can challenge him on my behalf, but I can't chanllenge him on my own is that ..that's how this works?"

"That's not fair. You should be able to challenge him."

A nod. "That's one way it works, yeah. Somebody of at least his rank is willing to take your side in the conflict. But...maybe we should talk with Baron Kealan first."

"Snitch?"

A blink. "His knight is treating women badly? Hell, yeah, we snitch."

Gerd looks unsure

"You want to make him feel small? Make his Baron disappointed in him."

"mmph"

"How do we make the Baron believe us?"

"Baron Kealan is one of the allies of Rivervale. If we tell him he'd p;robably believe"

Sylvi nods at Gerd's statement.

"Not if it's just..." She frowns. "I know you aren't lying, Gerd. But how do we make sure... it..."

"Still feels like narcing" Nose wrinkle

"But again, that means you've gotta be public with what happened. Which means...you've gotta be sure you're in the right. Gerd...what kind of relationship did you have with this guy? I mean, you said you two were doing some stuff, but...were there any promises?"

"He said he loved me.. and that I was the only one that he ever loved"

"Wait, does he know you saw them together?"

"Hell no, I flicker flashed out of there in complete humilation"

"Oh!" Sylvi's eyes get big. "Ohhhhh...hmm...that gives us a tactical advantage."

"It..does?" Intrigued

"How?"

"Well, he doesn't know he's hurt you, so he's not already working on his defense...hmm."

"Hey...heyyyy...invite him here, for dinner. And...and get him to talk about your relationship, in front of the Chieftain."

"He'll know she's Gwydion, and he'll know she'll know if he lies."

"He'll have to reveal himself in front of her."
