Frank has his eyes closed and is rubbing the base of his horns.

"right. I know, I know... Nadeen's dad. Right now I put everyone on orders NOT to tell Nadeen. She's miffed enough about not being consdiered for the new hold"

Dag grunts, but mostly stays quiet.

Frank looks at Brekke with quiet dread in his eyes.

Brekke glowers. "Permanent changes, you say."

Dag wavers her hand.

"Well, it might recede. A chimera is taller for one thing"

"But yes, physical changes to bedding"

"Changes to the building itself, and things inside. Powerful Realms."

"And possibly his parents"

"Who.... no one's ever suspected they were anything but mortal?" Some weird hope in his voice.

"His parents," she echoes. "That...could be a problem. If Nadeen's father was seeking to manipulate Adam, but failed...he might be trying to get his parents to serve his will."

A glance at Frank. "I had wondered, but saw no sign. I have met them both."

"Are they kinain? Lily is."

"THey haven't shown signs., blood skipped.. a.nd besides, Mr. Thomas a troll and Mrs as a satyress?"

"Sluagh-kin, you said." And he grunts acknowledgement of what the Thomas elders experienced.

"Brekke, if you didn't see it... and you looked..... then they aren't kinain."

"Or they weren't. Who knows NOW. If this fades, then ... taht's one thing. If it stays, we're talking legend times right?"

Frank looks grim, and nods.

A deep breath. "This feels almost as much a threat as the black gate at the new Lodge."

"Don't tell Nadeen, but I don't... don't think I'm super excited about meeting her dad."

"Siv, I think you were right to keep this from Nadeen until you could speak with us...but I think we will need to speak with her now."

"I understand very well, Dagmar."

Frank looks at Dag, and nods. He gets it.

"A word before you do, please, Storm."

"Mm. Here?"

"In private, if you don't mind?"

"Oh." Siv backs up to give them room

A nod, and she stands. "Excuse us." And she heads for the front door.

Outside on the porch, Frank speaks quickly but quietly. "You recall how Adam reacted to being .... thwarted? Restrained?"

"Ok." Siv says to Dagmar when it's just them, "Sharing that vibe about Nadeen's father"

"He resisted. Became angry. Sullen." She considers this. "Are you seeing something I am not?"

"like, Nadeen is WAY better than she was...."

"Imagine how a full-blooded, already frustrated, Sidhe will feel."

"And he might be as bad or worse when he arrives? Yeah..and apparently taking his power with him?" Siv says to Dags "Shit."

An eyebrow. "It will be bad. I think it will not be as bad as a dragon."

Frank just lifts an eyebrow; he admires her optimism.

"Her loyalty is to her father; that's never been a secret." Very softly.

"Well, even if he shows up as a regular sidhe..."

Jaw-jut. "Nadeen deserves better than to be his flunky."

"Understood. But Frank, has it never seemed to you that she struggles with that loyalty? That it chafes her, even if she will not admit it?"

"What about yu, Dagmar? You worked for him right?"

"I did..."

She squints, grasping at memories.

Flickers of snowflakes that moved like music... a blue hand holding slender delicate fingers... a voice, commanding, she let's go

"It's.. fuzzy. I don't remember his face at all."

There was a sense of loyalty, but not as strong as

"I think much chafes at her."

He glances at the door, then back, nods. "One more thing."
