He gives her a dubious, somewhat fearful look. After all, she WAS raised by Vali.

"Relax, you'll love it."

A sip then "Wait, a statue?"

"I have doubts." He rolls with it smoothly. "Yeah, like the one they say is of the Chief at Firnost."

" And I missed it? Oh I'm going back to see this"

"You've been? I haven't checked that place out. A free-for-all bale sounds tempting, but word around town says that's basically a DJ away from being a hookup nightclub, and that's... yeah, not my scene."

"I've been. Not the most happening place, which is a shame"

"Vali doesn't like it. Thinks it's unsafe"

Dag enters, smelling of horse and hay. She stomps her feet and sheds outer layers. The hoodie is back, but then, it IS winter...

"You want some tea, Dagmar? It'll warm you up"

"Hey, Dags!" He peers over at her - just as Symon's phone buzzes. A glance down, and he GRIMACES. "She caught on that the Flash shouldn't have taken so long. Damnit."

"Hey Sy! Tea? Is it a weird one or one of the fruity ones?"

"Gerd made a couple - just don't drink the cream in the pitcher with the lily on it. Trust me on that one. Hey, sorry to tea and ditch. Dags, can we catch up later? I have a SHITTON of stuff from Rome to show you."

"Sorry!" Gerd says to Symon "later you" // "It's black tea I can throw in sugar and the ah.. normal cream"

He gathers up his bag and starts to head out, pausing by Dagmar. "Hey, text me later, okay? I want to know all the dish about anything I missed, and not just Anne Marie's version."

Gerd raises a cup to the departing sluagh

"Uh... sure? Bye Sy..."

"Anne Marie is on his ass because he stayed at that new lodge so long" Gerd explains

"Apparently he was really helping Colton a lot"

"You'd think a fae would understand. He was doing important stuff."

"Maybe I'll talk to her."

"Well she might listen, but you know boggans can be when it's folks THEY fuss over. I mean, remember those ear muffs she had him wear last winter? Anne Marie is amazing, but I don't think she understands sluagh that well"

"I mean, I don't get everything either... but she needs to try."

"Well, he was definitely doing important stuff. Now Sylvi is supposed to be too, but if I were with MY Boyfriend in a private hold?" Blush and sip

"Well, Colton isn't Symon's boyfriend..."

A snerk "No he's not. I was saying Sylvi might be not doing as much as Symon was... and you know, reasons. But yeah" Sobering "Symon is really helpful. Not that he wants to always admit it. he might be the smartest guy in the barony"

"Oh, I'm sure he is."

"Well, Zane's dad, but that's like.. PHD smarts, lots of work, but that's just one way to measure"

A sip "Symon says the lodge at Rome needs to find a way to make non trolls feel included, not like they're waiting on scraps. " A sip

"Well... I mean, that seems fair? We're kind of outsiders."

"Yeah. But I was wondering, do you think he realizes how much the lodge appreciates him? I mean, I think he's part of the lodge no doubt, but we trolls aren't always very..expressive?"

"My impression is he feels like an outsider."

"I mean, how often is it the trolls then everyone else?"

"Every leader is a troll, every big position is one."

"Well, it is a lodge, but ...what do you suggest? I mean," Her brow knits "I half joked about making him an official spy. HOw do we give recognition without drawing attention? He odesn't like a bullseye on him"

She shrugs. "Dunno the answer there."

"me neither. I did get a great idea for a yule gift. Tell me if you like it.. I'm gonna need nocker help I think" She says "And old cassete player... and when you press it it goes 'Agent Symon, your mission if you choose to accept it is to do awesome stuff in the shadows for the lodge. "i'm only part human" She says "I get nosey like the best of them. Particularly when it comes to stuff. " She says "I hope the Hearth likes her gift I got her, it feels a bit lame"
