"Like... you're not into it at all?"

"I mean, Piper's a satyr, right? No one -expects- you to be like, uh, that...."

She shrugs.

"I dunno."

"But you want that, right?"

"I mean, of course you do."

His smile is unrepentant. "Hell yeah."

"So maybe you need a better girlfriend?"

"Like, it's not fair to you..." She frowns.

"Like.... you don't want to.... at all?"

Her jaw juts and she looks anywhere but at him.

He slowly releases her. "Hey, Dagmar.... talk to me."

"Remember, we said friends first, right?"

"I could. I mean, I've done it. I could do it, if you wanted?"

"That's what you want, right?"

He shakes his head. "We both have to want to."

Her arms are tightly wrapped around herself as she shrugs. "I wanna do the right thing."

"Me too."

"So, I mean, if you wanted I could. I've done it."

Adam pauses. "Did you like it?"

Her jaw twitches and she shrugs.

"You didn't." He sounds sure. "Was it bad?"

Shrug.

"I'm sorry, Dagmar." Sincere and heartfelt.

"Any chance I can kill the guy?" Not entirely kidding.

"Whatever. Doesn't matter."

"But I mean, it's fine. If you wanted. I mean, that's... that's the deal, ain't it?"

"No! -Hell- no! Dagmar, if you don't want to, I mean -want- to, then that's it."

For all her height, she seems very small. "But you want to. And that's what everybody does. Siv and Sylvi ain't satyrs."

"They sure as shit aren't." Emphatically.

Shrug. "So, yeah."

Adam sighs, thinking. "Ok, look. Yeah, I want to. And you don't. Dag, you don't -have- to, or even have to want to. Really."

"But it's not fair, right? Guys need it."

Adam laughs. "Sure feels like it sometimes, but... you know, I'll live."

Oak leans against Adam and wags more. Good human.

She chews on her thumbnail, tearing at already-ragged cuticles.

Adam pets his head absently.

"Ok, so.... look, you don't want, like, any thing, right. Kissing, or touching, or.... ??"

She grimaces. "I... I don't know."

"Kissing was... it..."

"Don't you want someone better?"

"Better isn't a word for this." Firmly.

"I could do it. Really. It's fine."

"I don't want it to be 'fine.' I want it to be Mind Blowing." A grin.

"Hey, wait.... wait....." His eyes light. "I know someone we could ask!"

She blushes.

"Hunh?"

"Nab! She'd be great to give us advice."

"Yeah?"
