Adam jogs up to the Lodge with stick and flashlight; it is early morning on the weekend and he's ready for action!

The dogs greet him, Edelwiess her usual bark, Oak with a bark and a wag

Dagmar is unsurprisingly at the stables - morning feed and water. Worse than cats.

Well, Stormwake's mane is coming back nicely, a touch of spring bespelled 'tail and mane' shampoo

Adam seeks her out and finds her. "Hey....."

"Hey. I'm ready. Had to feed them. Greedy guts." With affection and a nose-pat for Stormwake.

Happy press against and horse noises

Adam offers an embrace.

Pat-pat. "I'll take you out for a run later, promise."

A nod, he'll hold her to that.

"Hey...." a confident grin, and he slips his arms around her waist (or as close as he can get).

Dagmar tenses slightly. "Hey." She returns the hug, awkwardly.

"You ok?"

"I guess?"

His grin returns. "That's not good enough for my girl. What gets us to 'Great! Glad to see you!'?"

"Oh..." A little crease between her eyebrows.

"Well, you're in a good mood. Ready to work?"

"Always ready, but I'm serious about not good enough." He settles in close.

"I mean, I'm okay? Things are good, right? Almost break, and dragon's gone. Extra watch because of everyone off adventuring, but that's okay..."

"And you're amazingly bad-ass, so....."

A bit of purple.

"Well. I mean, trolls are protectors. All of us."

"You are." Cheeky.

"Um."

"What?" A hint of teasing, and he hasn't moved.

"You just... I mean... " Frown.

"You don't have to say stuff like that."

"Maybe not, but it's true, and I like when you turn purple, so....."

And on cue...

His grin grows.

"Yeah, just like that...."

She rubs the back of her neck. "But you like seeing any girl blush, kinda."

"Sure." Simply. "But you're special."

"I don't... I mean..." She frowns.

"What?"

"Wouldn't you rather, like... " Frown.

"I mean, I'm not a sidhe, or... I'm not... I don't..."

Adam looks honestly puzzled, and waits for her to get the throught out.

"Maybe I'm not a very good girlfriend?"

Adam pauses. "Well."

"It's not like we're .... you know, on the regular. You go and do stuff without me. I'm cool with that."

She shrugs, looking down at her feet.

"What?" He ducks under to see her eyes. "What's wrong?"

"You don't have to date me if you don't wanna, I mean."

"There's lot of girls."

"I know. I like you." then, with a roguish grin "I'd like more of you." The smile dims "Do...do you... not want to date?"

She tugs on her hoodie, pulling it tighter around her. "It's not..."

"I'm not a good girlfriend. I don't... like... "

"I'm not like Piper."
