Siv actually snickers at that

"Wait...Dirk...you are a skilled fighter. You were champion of the bear pit challenge at Pennons. Does that carry no weight?"

"Well, depends if they heard of it... Chief, there's a lot of what have you done lately.."

Siv snaps her fingers "Ah.. got an idea"

"Siv?" An invitation to continue.

Siv gasps, wounds form over her body... and her fae mein recedes until a comatose mortal girl lays lip in the seat, a bite mark on her face

Dirk jumps back, "I didn't touch her! I SWEAR!"

Bekke's alarm is immediate and primal, but she knows better. She has to turn away. "Siv, stop. Please."

"Sorry, uhm see," Siv says "it's that shape shifting I've been learning? If one is REALLY good at keenning they might see past it, but unlikely... and he can claim he killed me"

"Shit that was... intense," Dirk says "It's okay Chief, she was faking!"

Brekke looks back to her, but she can't erase the pain from her expression right away. "What then? They see the body, and then...? How do we get you safely home without revealing the deception?"

She turns to see the pale mutlated girl is now animated, almost zombie like

"Well..."

Dirk glares at Siv "Stop scaring your fucking mother"

Siv gulps, backs up, then realizes "Oh right sorry sorr.." Ending the cantrip

Her blue flesh is healthy, her mein is strong looking etc

Yes, Brekke had to look away again when she saw the animated corpse. Finally, she looks again, and relaxes visibly.

"Sorry, mom" Siv blushes, embarrassed both that she didn't think of that, and also that she nearly scrambled back at Dirk's glare

A deep breath and a nod before she repeats, "What then?"

"Well, dirk brags about how he's throwing my body where it can be found.. or something like that. They'd think that's pretty hard core right?"

"Yes. And then?"

"Well, I would assume he takes my body back with him after showing them... and throwing the body etc etc... and I'm in the clear" She says

Dirk scratches his chin, "It would work I guess. But it's a risk. Even if they fall for it, they might want to take a bite out of her while she was just meat"

Siv shrugs "I'll chance it"

"I will not."

"Mom, Dirk's life is at stake here, and he's one of us, right?" She says

"They could bite your ARM off, while you faked it" Dirk said, "You wanna be like Colton? Sure, he got ungimped, but it wasn't cheap"

"Siv, what little I understand about redcaps tells me that that is exactly what they would do. It is not as much a risk as it is a certainty."

Dirk mutters 'An arm.."

It's like he's processing a thought, but not quite there yet

"Dirk....?"

"what if I like.. stole and took in a fight the silver hand of Brekke shackeburster?"

Siv blinks "it's BREAKER not burster and... also, what???"

"No, not the real one.. like a fake? but with real blood?"

Brekke frowns and leans forward. "Explain how."

"Well, we like create a fake... Siv can whammy it to look like the real deal, all mangled though. They'll just think 'oh it's magic anyway' if they kenn it. We smear some blood on it, doesn't have to be yours but should be human ish at least... and I show it to them to 'prove' myself. I still might have to fight one of them, but likely just one..hell, one on one I may not like but I bet I can win that without smashing them in their sleep"

"But...they will hear that I still have my arm."

"Uhm chief, we ain't boggans or sluagh..we bully folks for info"

"Sides... can't Siv be seen, in safe places, looking like you, but without the hand?"

Siv blinks then looks at her mother

A narrow look. "I like it better than the other plan. But not much."

"And if they hear later of me with my hand once more...well, it is a truth that I had to go through much healing to recover it."

"Yeah whatever helps you sle... I mean, good point, Chief," Dirk says

"I am more concerned that nobody suspect your story to be false later. But yes."

"Oh..yeah" He nods, "That too "

"Hm. Siv? Your thoughts?"

"It could work.. but I'll need lots of dross to create a fake"
