Brekke looks at Frank, then back to Vali. "I understand," she says simply. Then she finishes her coffee and sets aside her mug...and there's some unspoken communication between her and Frank.

Frank stands and takes her mug to bus with his glass.

"You're going to be a very wise knight sooner than I, I think, Dame Dagmar" Vali smiles at her.

She also stands. "Vali, Dagmar, please excuse us."

He returns from the kitchen and nods to Vali and Dagmar. "Evening."

"Oh.. sorry. Night. Is it cool if I hang out until may parents get home?"

A brief look at Frank before she heads upstairs. "Of course, Dame."

"Evening, and Mountain, Chief? thank you both"

"Thanks. Night."

Brekke nods to Vali from halfway up the stairs. "Thank you, Vali." And then she is gone up to their room.

"Welcome, Vali. Good to have you here, Dagmar." And then, so is he.

Vali looks at Dagmar, "So... " A speculative look

"So?"

"Is it just me , or are you wilders..wow, I can say that now, 'you wilders' meeting a lot lately? like around tables with books and things?"

"Sure, it's D&D stuff."

"Planning a campaign."

"Well, that would explain Gerd going through some of my novels and old gaming books" He says

"Yeah. She's joining us. I mean, she IS a wilder now."

"Yes she is," he nods "And I won't try to horn in on your game"

"Thanks."

He scratches his chin looking at her, "I had visions about everyone. A gift for my togail from the Dreaming"

"Everyone?"

"Everyone of the lodge.. and that includes you"

Thumb-chew. "What did you see about me?"

"THe vision of you I had that day, the one I CAN tell you about as opposed to others I've had before? Mmm"

"...there's more?"

"I told you once about Beaumayn's Burden. The gift is also a heavy weight. But the one I can tell you about, ...well.."

"Yeah?"

"I see a time when you will reach for a feather rather than a weapon and be the stronger for it. You will face the Sun and choose a shadow... and it will be the nobler course for you to do so but it will cost someone..and you must not blame yourself"

"Sun... like Varich?" A frown.

"I'm not sure.. the vision is.. imprecise."

"But that might be a very good guess."

A small jaw jut. "Nadeen is my friend. Sort of. No, she is.."

"She is" He nods

"Now the feather vs weapon.. mmmph. Not sure on that either. Sorry. Let's hope it makes sense when you need it."

"Yeah, hopefully..."

"Um. Did you see anything about Tove or Jaymes?"

"Yes." He nods "And I'll talk to each one of them in turn"

"Can you tell me if they're safe?"

"You know that a huge dragon could make it so none of us are safe." He says.

"I know.." Fidget.

He looks at her, "I can tell you, and you can use the boon on me to be sure I'm straight, that one possible future I see for your mom and dad AND you? "

She nods, shifting her weight nervously.

"I see you are all very happy , if a bit crowded."

She grins at that. "Okay."

It rings true. Of course, he said it was only possible but... he's not making that up.

Vali chuckles at her grin, "You've got a good smile. Feel better?"

She nods.
