"Hmph. That horse is spoiled." Brekke doesn't seem truly upset by this. More amused.

"He's fine. Hey, do you think I could learn how to jump?"

"Well, yes, but mostly you bend at the knees then straighten them with all your might"

Vali says with a deadpan face

Brekke waves off Vali's humor, and nods to Dagmar. "Let us spend some time on that in the next days. And some first steps of jousting."

"Really? Awesome!"

"And I can help you at Pennons." She nods.

"I will need you to do so, yes. Perhaps, though, you may contest in tilting at rings. That is difficult, though. I will show you how, and you practice and tell me if you feel ready to compete then."

"A Gwydion Baroness with a Gwydion knight assisting. Man the falcons are going to get smug" A sip "Er"

An eyebrow at Vali. "Hmm. Perhaps some Beaumayn-targeted humor is in order. I will keep that in mind."

"Well, no one can doubt my courage" A drink

"I can try. I'd like to. And I might have time to do foot tourney, you think?"

"I will try to be sure of that, yes," to Dagmar, then she looks to Vali more seriously. "Vali...are you sure you wish to undertake that quest? It would be a great boon to our cause, but also a great danger, I am certain."

"What quest?"

"My boon, Dame Dagmar. to search for a dragon slaying weapon" Then a nod to the Chieftain, "If I pull it off mucho glory... and more importantly, a better chance of a larger forest"

"Vali will be seeking Gram, the bane of Fafnir. A sword," she clarifies.

"Wielded by Sigurd himself"

Brekke nods thoughtfully. "Legendary."

"..oh..."

She looks... carefully innocent.

Brekke notices. "Dame? You have a thought about this?"

"Me? No." PING.

Vali raises a brow. Even he felt that one and he's not a Gwydion.

Eyebrow, abrupt and targetted.

"Dame?"

Eyebrows furrow. "I mean, it's good that Vali is going on a quest, for sure. I do worry about him." That's true.

"Well, thank you" He says

"Hmmm." Brekke looks skeptical...but nods. "It will not be easy."

She nods. "Probably shouldn't be. It's a quest."

"I've quested before" he says "But yes this is a big one and important"

"Do you wish a companion on your quest, Vali?"

"I don't want to put anyone else at risk on this" He frowns at something though

Brekke notes the frown. "But...?"

"I need to find something for Tiffany to do"

She chews on a hangnail.

"Are you considering having her quest with you?"

"Yes, and considering it is why I need to find something for Tiffany to do" He nods

"Perhaps...you had best discuss this with her, rather than decide it for her."

Frank sighs quietly.

"Yeah, but then she gets a say" He says "And I' m starting to learn that in a case of a tie, she's the tie breaker. I don't know who made that crazy rule... but it's a trend"

Rather than comment there, Brekke merely sips her coffee.

"That's how it works with my parents?" Helpful!

"Jaymes is a lot more mature than I am.." A sigh "crap. I have to talk to Tiffany"

She shrugs.

"Mm. If you think that is the right thing to do." Brekke sips her coffee again, possibly with a sense of sweet revenge.

"Yeah" Mutter "Right thing to do"

"Yes. Best to be honest with those who are involved." A slight throat clearing....that might be directed at Dagmar....

"Well, I hope she doesn't get involved at all but I'm pretty sure she's going to claim she already is"

She doesn't seem to notice that one.

"She is involved with you, Vali. Thus...involved."
