A bit of a laugh. "She's his soul-daughter, through and through."

"oh they have whole debates and conversations with jaw shuffling and brow raising" She says fondly despite her vexation.

"It's funny, I always thought the Chieftain and the Mountain were very trollishly-taciturn. But your two take it to a whole different level."

"Oh, she has other things very in common with the Chieftain. "

"She does, doesn't she? I've noticed that, too. I think...hm...well, it's not for me to say, and a great deal is up to Dagmar's choices, but I think the Chieftain is considering Dagmar to follow her as Storm." The last said in a whisper.

Tove's expression shifts, and a look of IMMENSE pride fills the woman's eyes "my little girl? As..oh oh my"

Then she coughs "Of course, that's far far in the future for even..considering, but I am... " A laugh "Stupidly proud. I'm all puffed up like a mother eagle"

Kerri nods, a bit more serious. "You should be proud. But it's not an easy life, Tove. She'll need your support...and she won't admit it."

"She barely does now," She says then tilts her head "HOw's Sylvi? I mean.. how is she really?"

"Well...she's nervous about the dragon. And understandably so. So I think she's trying to throw herself into school and her videos and Colton to distract herself." Another grin whisper. "She gets that from me."

"She does" A nod, "She's got a gift, you know? I had to take a class in Youtubing when Ifirst got here... I made so many mistakes...and I had to get used to imagining the crowds ... so different. But your daughter has... she lights up and then spreads that light back. "

"Well...some of it comes naturally to her, I think, and then cheerleading improved it. But she raves about how you helped her get started with the YouTube videos. The editing and all. It's well beyond me."

"She's a quick study and a natural yes, and thank you. I .. I like being able to contribute to the girls. They're good girls. One and all. Sylvi is..." She ponders, then "Your daughter is a natural juggler of people... she knows how to coordinate them. I dare say she gets that from you too. " A pause then a smile "I think she might have some of her father's ah.. how to put this nicely..." A chuckle "Audacity?"

A fond smile. "I like it when it works in my favor. When she tries to use it against me? That does Not Go Well." She nods. "We've got good daughters, Tove. But they're going to struggle...and it's so, so hard to watch."

"Yes, I'm seeing that. Jaymes is my rock." A smile "Even if he got a bit rocked last night when your trouble maker of a daughter worked her magic with Dagmar... did she show you the footage? Or picture? VERY glam. Poor Jaymes. I think he was hoping that Dagmar would focus on critters and sports trophies and not be interested in the girly things at all."

"I saw. Jaymes didn't actually get upset with her, did he?" Kerri frowns, goes a bit tense.

"With Dagmar? No. With your daughter? I think for a brief part of him, he wondered why her horns and the rest of her weren't RED... but not upset no" Tove assures with a smile

"Really, Dagmar was going to get curious. IT's best she had someone who was there to guide her rather than abuse that trust. Sylvi can be very devious, but she always always looks after the others. I've noticed"

Kerri nods, but she still frowns. "It's....some fathers have extremely negative reactions to cosmetics. I'm glad Jaymes isn't like that. And yes, Sylvi does seem to find ways to get what she wants, but I don't think she'd do anything intentionally to hurt or embarrass Dagmar. They're friends."

"Theyr'e famiily" A nod "ANd no, Jaymes likes things simple sometimes, and teenagers are not always, but he is a big boy and he can roll with it. I DO envy how Olgar is so openly supportive of young women and the challenges they face." A pause "Well, I hear he didn't always like COlton... but that's neither here nor there" Tove goes on "And I know SYlvi wouldn't hurt her. Honestly, I'm very fond of your daughter. She wants very much to make a mark on the world. I think the sheer number of choices intimdiate her, but she's so used to others relying on her, she feels a need to... oh what's the word? She conceals her own pain to others she thinks will need her. For a girl teased for vanity, she doesn't always take enough me time."

"Well, Olgar talks a good game, but it isn't easy for him. As for Sylvi...you really think so? Do you see her struggling? She doesn't often show me that...." Kerri trails off.

"Struggling may not be the right word, but..." Tove pauses "Your daughter is at times overwhelmed by it all and she doesn't want folks to see that. You and Olgar have given her so much, and she KNOWS that...and like a lot of daughters, at times resents the idea that she hasn't earned what she has. It's a ...a duality. Father relied on me so much in Thyle I was a world away in more than one ways, but Sylvi.. .and understand this is just my view, Sylvi isn't concealing things from you because she doesn't love you both, far from it. She wants to make you proud for what she DOES, not just what she is. But... well, you already know what you can do about that. Be there, ear ready, let er know you're there if she wants to talk. Though I wish you better luck with than with Dagmar and I. I have annoyuing habbit of wanting to dispense wisdom when I should just shoosh and let her talk or not talk"

Kerri's quiet for a moment. "Tove, I think I assumed you knew this, but maybe you don't. Dagmar does come to me sometimes to talk things over. Sometimes she comes at a topic sideways, so I'm not certain if she started out intending to talk about a problem but it just bubbled to the surface in spite of her. I try to be an ear and...well, sometimes I do describe what I see in the situation. I don't mean to be treading on your rights as a mother by doing that." She pauses. "I think perhaps both our girls need somebody-not-mom to talk to, sometimes."

"I.. do envy how safe Dag sees you" She admits "I hadn't thought the situation might be ..reversed. Maybe.. maybe you're right? They need not moms to...vent to I guess. Or seek out without 'risking' their pride" and a look, "And I would never want to tread on your mother duties either... but if anyone did, I'd rather it be you than most."

Kerri nods. "I think this is good, for both of them. And probably, for both of us."

A sip of lemonade, "Actually yeah. Honestly, there are going to be times I just need someone who understands. Maybe you and I should go out sometime for a manipedi? God knows we earned it. " A realization of the time "Oh.. Dagmar will be ready for home soon. I need to start prepping for her cheer up food if she's still down. See you later about a manipedi idea?"

"I love that idea. Oh, and Sylvi was thinking we four could go do a shopping excursion today...but if the girls are having drama, perhaps we should put that off until another day."

"yeah, guess we'll find out when they get home if things have smoothed" She puts the glass up, grabs her staff, "Thank you so much again . Needed the talk even more than I needed to hit something." And the younger wilder is off

"Let me know if you need anything," Kerri says as she goes, and then she gathers up the pitcher and glasses and goes back inside.

Another wave to indicate she will.. and ..well, off the mothers go each to brace for Post School Drama drama
