"I think she would have let you keep it, Siv, but I appreciate your consideration of her. As for the Protectorate...." She draws a deep breath. "I've never brought anybody in before. I know I was tested, and it seemed like a lot of tests back then. They needed to see I was dedicated. But I don't think I'll be allowed to be the one to test you. Too close, you know? But if you want me to find out for you...?"

"And here I was off to join House Fiona... now.. I don't know if that would be wise. Serving two masters doesn't always work well. Wait, are any trolls in the Protectoratre also of a house?"

Kerri smiles. "That's a very good question. I wonder how one might find that out."

"argh" she states quietly.

Kerri winks. "Okay, I'll give you that one: Yes, some are members of Houses. It's not such an impossible combination, when you think of it."

"Well, if it is not seen as a conflict of interests... I would like you to find out how I might go about being evaluated and joining and such, please. And I quite understand you can't be the one to test me proper... would be a conflict of interest, and let's face it. I'm clearly your favorite sailor in the world"

"Ohhh...well, I'm glad to know who my favorite is, thanks for letting me know." Kerri smiles. "Siv, it may take some time to make this happen. You can be patient?"

"more so than I used tobe, and I maybe away for five days or less. Oh. I almost forgot.. I was going to ask Sylvi but... have you had time to talk to mum today?"

"Not today. Why?"

"Well, Hearth... it turns out Connor's situation has come up.." She looks around for Connor one more time, then.. explains what her mother told her.

"Oh, no, Siv..." Kerri interrupts. "The Chieftain already told me about Connor's situation. I'm on it, and I'm glad you've been updated."

"Oh well. I ask because I thought Sylvi might want to come with me" She says "You know... sailing about, getting in trouble"

"Okay, hopefully not the getting in trouble"

Her smile falters. "Getting in trouble."

TROMP TROMP TROMP

"I meant it as a slang term... honest I don't expect there to be any if we';ree.." She hears the tromping and smiles

...somebody is not suited to be a troll spy...

"We're in here, Dagmar!"

To Siv, she says, "We'll talk more about the other later, when I have more information."

"Hey." She pokes in. "Sup?"

"Danishes" Siv say finishing off the second one.

"Help yourself."

"Oooo... you guys need anything? Iced tea? It was SO hot, but it's raining now!"

"Oh... and someone's favorite flavor on that danish in the corner..." As the assortment of blueberries and lemons and strawberry flavors

"Oh, thank you, Dagmar, iced tea would be lovely."

"Thanks, Dagmar." A smile, "So..Stormwake snoozing like a fiend?"

"Yeah. And still smug. Tea, Siv?" She gets the pitcher from the fridge.

"Yes, please ... iced tea is fine." She smiles thinking of Raven and how she might feel about some 'tea alternatives' "Sylvi and I were out of the farm before things went nuts but we heard about it. I'm glad Stormwake is fine"

"I understand you've been taking very good care of Stormwake, Dagmar. Has it been difficult to learn how?"

She pours three glasses. "Well, some stuff is tricky. Most of it is easy, but slow."

"I'm getting better riding as me."

"Well, that's good but I'll never complain for the 'help' you got from the past life or whatever it was"

"Agreed. Dagmar, you have secured yourself a spot in the legends of Rivervale, I think. Jousting a sports car."

"I don't know which life. Ain't like I got a list of them."

She purples. "Well. Uhm."

"No joke... either. It's just.. that's something I don't think even Mom can boast" A pause "Not that mom would boast. You could hold a gun to her head and threaten her life telling her to boast or die... and the best youd' get is a Norweigan Pas Mal"

"A what?"

"Not bad" she translates

"Ahhh." She sets glasses in front of Siv & Kerri.

"Is there cheese?" As she checks.

"Thank you" She takes hers and sips

Kerri stifles a chuckle. "That's her way, Siv. I don't think you'd recognize her if she were boastful."

"There should be some of the top shelf, Dagmar."

"And thank you."

"Cheeeeeese daniiiisssshhhh..." Happy wilder.

She takes two - though there is a quick side-glance at Kerri for permission.

A smile at Dagmar's happiness. "Horses and Cheese Danishes, she knows what she likes" then a nod to Kerri "Aye, Aunt Kerri.. If mom started boasting I'd check for chicanery or fever. But I DO think she's way too hard on herself"

"Chief's pretty 'mazing." Dag agrees, slightly muffled by her first bite of danish goodness.
