As for Brekke... a cup of coffee, perhaps with a touch of something, and a soothing balefire... it's good to know her daughters weren't there at the time of the... harmonica. Besides, she reminds herself. Wild behavior wouldn't necessarily be in the form of ..errr rromance. They're just as likely to have gone on a car trip or singing

You have to be inclined and have the opporutnity to succumb to it in any specific direction

Brekke has avoided much exposure to the Gift, and her early experiences were at Firnost, so her understanding of it may be somewhat biased. But the coffee and balefire is a comfort.

"Nope. She didn't let me get it out" Siv sighs "I guess it isn't the right time"

"Maybe tomorrow." She guides Storm towards his stall - full of food, water and fresh hay.

"Maybe. " She says.

"We have a month of summer left."

"Only a month? " She moans "Where does the time go?"

"Horses and lawns and wading in the creek."

"Yeah... " A sigh "I miss... I miss Bancroft bad already. He's in Hibernia by now."

"Oh..."

"Well, all the more reason to sail."

"Yeah." A nod "I Hope mom and dad are cool with it."

"Maybe you could go with Sylvi?"

"Maybe. You mean while you're at camp? "

"Yeah? You two gotta do something without me..."

"Ooooo is that how it is? I'm the needy cousin now..." Mock offense

"Yup!"

Elbow nudge

"What?"

"Just going to miss you when you're at camp and I'm sailing"

"Well, I'll miss you when I ain't too busy."

"Maybe one day you'll adore me half as much as you do that horse" Smile

"I'm not sure about that." Nudge.

Snort

"When your ship has a brain, we'll talk."

"My ship has a SOUL..." Certain of it

"Yeah?"

"yes."

"Well, it does know you, that's for sure..."

A smile "It does..yes. " Proud "We've a bond. She, me, my parents"

"So, okay. I'll grant a soul."

"That's mighty blue of you" A wink

"Ha"

A side hug "Sorry, just can't help it"

"S'okay." A small grin.

"So... Stormwake is home safe, I might head home too..."

"Okay. Say Hi to Tove for me! oh, and say .." She makes a soft grunt nod "To Uncle Jaymes"

Snort-smirk. "Kay."

And the girls part.

Both feeling pretty good about today
