"A giant" the old woman gapes, in as much wonder as concern.

"Yes, This is the Baroness of our lands.. she's nice," Jimmy says "She's also a troll... but think noble and good not under bridges. " He turns "Chieftain, this is my grandmother Rachel"

"Oh my goodness," The old woman says and looks up.. up up "Pleased to meet you, Baroness."

Brekke bows respectfully to the woman. "Rachel. It is good to meet you, as well. I hope you understand...what Jimmy shows you today is a rare gift. He is not normally permitted to share this with non-fae."

"He mentioned that. And don't worry, Baroness. At my age, if I started talking giant blue women and pixie grandsons, they'd put me on meds I'd rather not taste" She makes a face then smiles, "But thank you for looking after Jimmy. He says you take care of these lands .. I.. it's good to know that he has adults he can turn to in this world too."

"It's PIskie, Grandma.." He says with a cough

"Sorry, piskie" she says "No little gossamer wings"

Brekke nods, then looks to Jimmy. "You will explain to her about the Mists."

"I will.." he says "I hope you're having a good high summer as well, Chieftain?"

"I am. I am, indeed." A pause, then to Rachel. "One thing I want to tell you, and I hope you remember...Jimmy has been a good help in this barony, and he is a good friend to other fae. Yes, he steals, and sometimes that has proven helpful in saving others. And he always returns what he has taken, once asked -- in that way, he helps us learn to appreciate what we have overlooked. We value him."

"Good. He was raised right. But then," she smiles proudly, "I always knew he was special. Thank you, Baroness. We're going to the put put, did you want to come along?"

"Ah, no thank you. I am on patrol. I hope you enjoy yourselves. Good Highsummer to you." A nod, and she resumes walking.

Jimmy shoots a grateful look to the Chief, and off the grandson and grandmother go.

"your hooligans, one of them did this! Eggs catipulted is one thing... chimerical jokes... but this! No one takes me seriously! I've been patted, cooed and and at least once nearly dragged off to find my parents" With some surprise, The Chief realizes this is.. or was, Ms. McGillicutty!

Brekke's eyes go wide again. "Mrs. McGillicutty, I am sorry. Today is...well, all should be resolved by tomorrow. You may choose to remain indoors today. Or...perhaps...I know of some people going to the mini-golf, and perhaps they would let you join them, if you like?"

Raised brows, as the offer to allow her to connect with others is rejected. Brekke shrugs and turns away...the woman knows how to find a stepstool.

Indeed. She'll be fine.

Still, perhaps if she'd met Rachel, if they'd become friends, she might not be so very awful....

She almost dreads what she'll find. Regardless, she goes to investigate.

It does, meekly. Snakes can't blush...but she tries.

Brekke holds her up to eye level and considers her a moment. Then she nods. "Very good try. Do not try again...until next year."
