Bunk complete, she responsibly wipes the lipstick off the mirror and struts back into the mall.

"How.. oh my god, Sylvi.. you're amazing!"

Sylvi might want to stop by the stylist and get her now longer hair 'reframed' but as allways, a Davidson triumphs!

(And elsewhere) Vali takes the earlier footage of her bad hair day from the security guy, and pays him the 50 bucks "Thanks, Man. Her parents are gonna laugh hard at this."

She beams at her friends, and of course the stylist gets a visit (that's allowance money she wasn't planning on spending just yet, but desperate times....).

Overall, for Sylvi, it's a win!

Kerri gets video footage on her phone with the words "FIGURED YOU WOULD GET A KICK OUT OF THIS" footage of her daughter admiring herself at the mall in a mirror with truly terrible hair. Sylvi poses ,s hakes her head, while looking like Medusa's second cousin.

Kerri takes absolutely guilty pleasure in this. I OWE YOU ONE! she texts back, and forwards it to her husband.

A high voice speaks out , "mum, daa? "

Sounds a bit like Siv

And then "Don't even THINK about, Mackerel!"

Brekke, enjoying a coffee, looks about. "Siv?"

"Down here!" A voice pipes up, "WAY down"

Brekke looks WAY down, frowning.

At roughly 9 inches tall (Or three apples high) stands Siv! Shrunk down! And wearing a smurfette costume.

This is clearly some sort of metamorphosis spell at work or something...

"Don't you laugh!" Says a slightly squeaky voiced Siv

Brekke gapes at her for a moment, then covers her mouth. "That is... ah.... It is dangerous for you down there. Come." She offers a hand for Siv to climb on.

She clambers on it, "Mom, why didn't you tell me the man was insane? You go through this every year?"

"As they say, I have done my time." She helps Siv onto a table. "Well...at least it will be done after today. You must simply avoid being stepped on before then."

"THe man does know he's NOT a pooka right?" Huruhmph

"Pranksgiving is not just for pooka, Siv," Brekke reminds. "Now...have you eaten yet? I could get you some cereal. I believe Kerri has ones called...MiniWheats?"

A groan.. "Et Tu, mother?" A groan

An unrepentant shrug.

"well, it'll be worth it when dad sees his truck" Smirk

Any hint of amusement is gone. "The Dawntreader? Siv...not that...."

"Don't worry, it washes off to reveal the real one below, but it takes a otuch of..."

then "The Horn plays "I feel pretty' from West Side story"

Connor steps in, remarking, "Did I hear mini-wheats? I haven't eaten in DAYS..." Though the crumbs on his shirt seem to claim otherwise... and gapes at Siv.

Brekke goes to the door and out far enough to get a look at the truck...and shakes her head with amused resignation. "Of course it does."

Brekke's keen eyes might noticed the words , 'I lied, sue me! -Vali' written on a tire.

"Interesting, though...I thought it was decided that the grumps were off-limits this year." An eyebrow at Siv as she reenters the Lodge.

Siv grins "Oh you know that Vali, he can't help himself" LIE

"Hmmmmm...." A look at her daughter, then she says, "Connor, I have to go on patrol. You will take good care of Siv today, please. Help her to the best of your ability."

A bit of a smirk of her own as she leaves Siv to the tender mercies of a pooka childling.

The shrunken Siv looks at Connor "Connor.. I'm fine I just.. " A sigh

He blinks, and straightens up to salute Brekke with a thud against his forehead, and then a pause to rub the spot. "Oh, I will! Finally, I get to be a noble steed!"

Siv laughs at that, "Sweet boy"

He scrambles from the room for a moment and when he's back, it is in puppy form. He spins around 3 times, play bows, and sits up with paws in the air, then using Willow Whisper says to Siv, "I will be the BEST steed ever. Even better than Stormy, even if he IS bigger and gets fancy shoes." He sidles over and... is that yarn, tied to his collar and draped across his back? Yes, there are REINS.

Brekke nods and goes out on patrol, perhaps a bit more quickly than she might normally.

"This feels exploitive, but ..what the heck" Siv clambers on, "Good and noble, Connor, we ride! Avoid cats please"

He yips in glee, and takes off to have adventures, with hapless Siv in tow!
