Tove grins "To Dagmar."

A sheepish little wave/finger waggle.

"Probably gets it from our side of the family, Tove" Torin says

"You don't suck" Gerd joins in , then "What? Thatr's high Goth praise"

Sylvi and Kerri both join in with happy enthusiasm.

OLgar raises his beer

When the recognition is complete, Brekke says, "I have told Dagmar that I intend to honor a boon request for her. Dame Dagmar...." She nods, and Dagmar might get the idea that she should stand.

She swallows and stands.

"Dame Dagmar," Brekke starts again, "You have done a great service to my hold and my family. What boon would you ask of me?"

Sylvi bites her lip, eager to find out what the request is going to be.

"I..." A nervous look at Jaymes and Tove.

Jaymes looks at her, nods (shoot for the moon, worse that can happen is you get a great view before you come down to earth)

Tove also looks reassuring "Whatever you like, honey if it's in her power"

"I already have so much of what I want, you know?"

Brekke nods, then waits.

Her hand drifts up, but she stops before biting her knuckle again.

Kerri gives her an encouraging nod.

"So. I was thinking... maybe.. um."

"If I can get better at riding..."

"I was thinking maybe I could be... like, maybe... maybe be allowed to ride Stormwake whenever? I mean, not if you needed him. But if it was just, like... afternoon, or something, and you were doing stuff... I could just... I'd do all the right stuff, take care of him... but I wouldn't need to ask every time..."

Brekke listens, and seems to give the request serious consideration. A long pause.

Fidget. Foot-scuff.

"I think..." Brekke rumbles "...that that is a most fitting and reasonable boon. I would like to add to it. In addition to you having leave to ride when you wish...I would like to teach you to joust. Does that interest you?"

Jaymes raises brows.

"Like at Pennons?" She perks. "Yes!"

Tove bites her lips "Ah.. uhm..."

And falters at brows.

Jaymes' brows lower, then "Wasn't expecting the jousting. But good. SHe'll be great at it." Firm.

A look to Jaymes and Tove. "With your parents' permission."

"She will. And somebody will need to represent Rivervale at Pennons when I, someday, retire. Long away from now." She assures.

Tove shoots Jaymes a look like where's my back up? But then says "I.. guess I'm worried she'll get hurt...so much force... but not like she's playing it safe now." Sheepish then "Yes. it's fine. Thankfully you can heatherbalm"

Siv sighs "She actually likes horses more than sailing ships. I feel like I've failed." she says near Olgar.

Olgar nods back "I felt the same way when she went Seelie. "

A firm nod, and then she looks back to Dagmar. "Then, it is done, as you have requested. I trust you will maintain your side of caring for him well."

An earnest nod!

"Guysss...." Sylvi hisses at Siv and Olgar.

"Then again....for Dame Dagmar!" She raises her mug again.

"Here here and Hear Hear" Vali grins

Cheers break out.

Vali coughs "If i may? I have something to say to Dagmar as well and a much..smaller gift."

He looks to the Chief for permission. IF this isn't the time or place, he'll not press.

Brekke nods to Vali and takes her seat, watching curiously.

Knuckle-chewing. Bad habit.

"First, thank you, Dagmar. You were amazing, and I am very glad to be alive. Similar thanks to those who healed me" A nod to Brekke and Kerri, then he turns back "But I wouldn't have made it to their care withoout you. As you may, or may not know, Pranksgiving is coming. "

A groan from Olgar

"Oh, sh-... yeah. I know."

Brekke takes a deep breath and a deep swig of coffee. Sylvi says, "Ohhhhh, noooooo...."

Kerri rolls her eyes but looks amused.
