A deep breath. "She is doing the job well, it seems. That...is comforting."

"Aye. I know not the whole story, again... but I am no friend of those Shadows, Chieftain."

"I hope she is able to crush them. But..." A little frown.

"But...?"

"But I spotted a hidden danger. And... and she is my friend. I hoped, mayhaps, you had a way to speak to her."

Zara nervously tangles her fingers together. "Siv is my friend. I know, I am not.. ah... I am not of this Lodge, I am not well trusted here.. but you are a Falcon, so you hear the truth of my words."

Brekke frowns. "I may be able to speak with her, but it will be when she is ready. What have you seen?"

"There is a bogganess who works for the Peacock Lady - face like the innocent flower, aye? Who sees a boggan? But she is a sorceress. Skilled."

"At this racetrack-hold?"

"And.." Zara hesitates, frowning. "This is the secret I know. Her dearest secret, the one the bogganess hides from those about her."

"Nay, Janice works for the Peacock directly. With Slip... the nocker, nu? The one with the cars?"

"But she was at the racetrack, when Angrygyn was thence."

At the name of the nocker, Brekke's eyes grow dark. A silent nod.

"I have done what magics I may to protect Siv, but there is no weapon like forewarning. This Janice... sains. Collects names from the unwary to enrich herself."

"That...." A startled look. "How is that even possible? That...what happens to those whose names she takes? Do they know?"

"It is a dangerous thing, to have your Name known. It grants power to the holder, and leaves the one Named vulnerable to their magics."

"I believe the boggan has kept this secret, but... I believe she might barter in Names. She is very loyal to her mistress."

"Siv...." A horrified troll is a disturbing sight. "You said you have worked to protect her. I...thank you again for that." A pause. "I must find her, get word to her."

"If this boggan learns Siv's name, it may well be as good as being in the Leanhuan's hands. Siv must be mindful of her personal effects - of every hair, every nail clipping."

Brekke nods seriously.

"Forgive, Chieftain - but you are, perhaps, too obvious. Be careful in how you contact her."

"Yes, yes. I think...yes, I think I may have a way."

Zara bows. "Aye. Forgive, again, my intrusion... but see you now my urgency?"

"I do, and I thank you for it." Brekke stands. "And now you must forgive mine."

Zara nods. "I understand."

With a toe, she breaks the line. "I shall be praying for your daughter's swift recovery..."

And the bubble pops.

"Your prayers are welcome and appreciated, Miss Zara. Please excuse me."

"But of course. Good day, CHieftain."

The Chieftain is almost rude with the haste in which she goes to the door and is out, leaving Zara alone in the room. Of course, the Hearth is in the kitchen....

Footsteps.

And Gerd comes in, she still flickers with glamour..."Hey. Saw the chief leave. She's not.. normally rude. "

"She's not. The Chieftain is, as always, a gracious host."

"Even to, mayhaps, unwelcome guests."

"I guess." She wrinkles her nose, "Gwydions can be a bit on guard. I didn't realize you and Siv had become friends."

A smile. "We do not get to see each other often enough, but aye."

"It's just.well, she didn't mention you. She normally is very.." Chagrinned "Blabby for a troll"

"And I am a talkative sluagh." Almost a grin, eyes sparkling.

Gerd's dark purple lips smile at that, "So for you, she was quiet. WEirdly, I can see it. How'd you get to be her fr iend, or is that a secret?"

"How else? Firnost."

"Yeah. Even I've been there." She smiles "The gauntlets are cool."

"They are, though their tea is adequate, at best."

"oh, I'm only recently into teas really, it's all coffee or soda around here." She admits, "Oh, and koolaid for the kids."

"Oh, if you wish to speak of teas... I've tried many, nu? It is a sophisticated drink, steeped in tradition... not for everyone."

She shifts her shoulder then says with young wilder certainty "I can handle it"

"Wellll.. if you are certain."

"Yes. Is..is there a type you suggest?"

"Well, there is one varietal that turns blood-red... and another, black as midnight... have you paper? I can write them out."

"Please" She gets some paper out. Zara might note the paper has purple lining around the edges.

A pen is provided as well if needed
