"Gerd....." he crouches to meet her at eye-level ".... are you now all you will ever be?"

"Maybe?" She looks away

"Maybe not?" Coaxing.

"Well.. I have mastered Wayfare" she admits

"But he did that too.." Meaning her past life. And perhaps not thinking that Vegard certainly do it until he was much older.

Frank blinks. "Mastered it?" Clarifying.

"Yup. Wanna see?" A smile.

"I... yes."

"Tag" A flash as the childling lays a hand on him and...

Frank feels the disorientation that can only come from finding yourself twenty feet over a local lake.

Grumbling curses, Frank falls into the lake; this hasn't happened in more than 20 years, and he finds he did NOT miss it.

A strong swimmer, Frank at least knows the way to the shore... grumble

meanwhile, back at the lodge 'Oh god, why did I do that?" Gerd gasps

Steaming, and not due to the temperature, he splashes up and takes a few moments to drip before heading back to the Lodge, where he hopes Gerd had the good sense to take herself.

Edelwiess is there at the lodge, a sign that the girl returned.

Oak goes to sniff him, and looks up to ask if Frank realized he was like.. wet?

With a sigh, Frank strips off as much as he can before coming in, and carries everything but his pants. "Yes, I know. I know."

A lick , you know, to show moral support.

Edelweiss is less sympathetic.

Brown dog does rub against him

Of course, since Gerd can obviously flicker flash, she might be out of the lodge just to avoid the Mountain.

He squelshes in; 9 feet of damp blue troll clad only in his wet jeans. He sets his boots down and carries the rest to the laundry area.

Looks like the washing machine is available.

He'll hang the clothes up to dry if there isn't a full load that needs doing; they won't get musty that way.

Works.

Footsteps

Wrong troll... it's Siv

"Dad? You down here?"

"Yes. Um. Could you bring me a pair of pants?"

From the laundry.

"Yeah, sure, Sec" Foot steps... and almost as quickly, they are heard again. A knock at the laundry door and if he opens, pants from a hand outstretched "Dad, what happened?"

"Went for a swim." The pants disappear within, and Frank soon emerges albeit less dressed than usual.

"Da, I think I should tell you, normally it's best to have trunks for that"

Sage advice indeed.

"Thank you, Siv, I'll take that into account. Of course, I am reminded of a little naked Fishie in the bathwater......"

A blush "Never gonna let that one go are you? I only escaped once.. or twice"

Perhaps her numbering is low.

".... and in the waves, and off the side of the ship, and from the rigging, and ....."

"Okay okay... fine.. but you must admit, bit odd you choosing to go for a swim . What's up?"

"Mountain business."

Her jaw drops, then she looks him over trying to determine if he is bygone flat out serious.

Serious.

And she is curious, but she respects it "Okay then. Let me know if you need help with it?"

He nods. "Of course. Thanks for the rescue."

"No problem" A shrug " I think I'm going for a run. Just a quick jog. Want me to take one of the dogs with me?"

"If they want to go, sure."

Siv is very curious indeed, but she's no Eiluned, and her dad said it was Mountain business, and she knows better than to mess with that. She pats her side, and the dogs and she go out to jog. Leaving him the only troll in the lodge.. unless Gerd is here somewhere

Frank goes and makes himself decent, then comes down to the kitchen..... he comes out with a plate of Gerd's favorites (if such a dark and doom soul could be said to have such comforts) and sets them nearby his desk, where he goes back to his spectacles and book.

Patience is rewarded, and a few minutes later, Gerd peeks out.

Then swallows, and moves quietly towards the food.
