"Red?" A look at Tove.

"And it was all too mcuh, they pressed themselves on me... took.." And Karen looks a bit offended, then angry "They..tried to use me to hurt me... he.. August saved me" She stands up shakey on new feet "I have to help August"

"Hey, hey..." She rises, steadying/restraining.

"I.. Dagmar..." She looks "Sam..an dDagmar.. you.. " Karen reaches up to give her a hug "Thank you"

"Sam and Dagmar. Sam's my human name. You - you look better?" A smile.

"I am something I don't understand and yet I FEEL right" She looks at Tove "You said it.. I'm a ..."

"Selkie" Tove says "Let me help you understand" She takes her turn to lead Karen "You need to feel a shore I think.. I can drive you."

"And then August?" Karen says "He was really messed up."

"We'll get you to him" Clem says "Tove, you got this? We're not really a sea faring folk on the farm, wavemaiden aside"

"Dagmar and I have this" Tove says

"Is this August okay?"

A look to her daughter "Don't we?"

"We got this!"

Clem nods "August is with loved ones. Being tended. He's on the mend"

"Good" Karen breathes a sigh of relief "So..the shore?" Dagmar and Tove escort her outside, the DeBukes already on their way out to fill the Chief of Rivervale in.

"Sure! It'll be nice, it's only half an hour to Rye..."

"Rye great...where AM I?" she asks "I mean..."

"don't joke, but Jersey" Tove says "you're in New Jersey"

"But I've been so good" Karen protests. Then "Sorry..couldn't help it"

"Where were you? The Dreaming can mess up time and space pretty bad."

"Well, I was born in... but went to school in.." And...they talk

Siv Waveborne has gotten so bored... (How bored is she?) SO Bored, that the Hearth may find that there are not even half the ussual amount of dirty dishes to assign to folks.

Not that Kerri is complaining. "You've been on a bit of a cleaning tear, Siv," she notes.

"I'm grounded... " Siv says "And while I like the internet as much as the next girl, I got energy to burn" She sighs "Did it to myself... I know, so I'm trying to be productive."

"Nice to see you taking it in stride, at least. Has Bancroft been to visit in your time-of-need?"

"I.. Bancroft and I are.. still sort of... it's iffy" A bite of her bottom lip "Another source of energy I guess. "

Kerri puts away the last of the clean dishes. "Want to talk about it?"

"Just... not sure I should .. just ..something bigger than sex came up, let's leave it at that" she's wiping counters then sighs "God I miss Sex"

Kerri pours them a couple of glasses of lemonade and passes Siv the platter of cookies. "Well...we could leave it at that, sure, but now you've got me curious."

"You'll be under pressure to tell mom an Dad and that's not fair to you, Aunt Kerri" She takes one cookie , checks with wry humor, then eats it "Thanks."

"Under pressure? Hmm...." She nibbles on her own cookie. "You do know I'm not a snitch, right? I wouldn't share any information unless I thought you were in danger...and I'm hoping that's not the case."

"No I..." Siv says "he asked me to move to Hibernia with him... you know, like... live together in the same place just the two of us... " A drink "And I was.. AM tempted. But .. I love him, but I don't know if I ... LOVE that much I feel so damn shallow and why wouldn't I sayyes rightwaay if I really love him and if I don't love him enough maybe I should breakup for good but I don't want to do that but at the same time I'm worried I'll give in and then I wonder why I'd give in and mom and dad would be heartbroken and I like it here I want to travel but not forever and what if we grow to hate each other and I'm stuck inireland and there's talk of a quest together maybe but that feels like a job audition for him and he mgiht be insulted and it's just crazy"

Kerri listens carefully. "Hm." A bit of a head tilt. "Siv, don't take this a wrong way, but I really don't see you as somebody who would get married this young."

"Oh it's not married, just living together" A swallow "Just"

"Ah. Well...even then, I think it's a bit early for that. But I'm not sure that means you two should break up. Have you spoken with him about it since he made the offer?"

"I.. a bit. I told him I'd need time to think about it. " A pause "That was a week ago... the grounding bought me some more time"

Almomst as if being grounded is a relief

"Ahhhhh...I was wondering why this grounding was unlike all others."

"Well, the no sex thing .. honestly, you're lucky I haven't 'cleaned' a hole in the counter. Why didn't anyone warn me that could get addictive?"

"I do believe that some people warned you not to rush into things...and this is part of why." Kerri may look slightly amused, but it's a sympathetic look.

"Yeah yeah" She says "It's amazing the magic cookie didn't switch ME satyr" A frown "I dont' know what to do... I don't think he's wanting to settle for 'how things are' but I like how things are."

Kerri sighs and nods. "It may be that you two may go down different paths. It might be temporary, or it may be permanent. But best to talk about it, rather than avoid it. Yes, of course you've needed time to think, and I think you were right to seek that...but I think you should speak to him soon, while you're both thinking clearly, and not just let things drift apart without talking it through."

"I suppose .. wow, is it odd I'd rather fight a thallian with a toothbrush than do this ? I mean, what kind of coward..." A sigh "if Uncle Olgar could see me now, he'd probably consider me an embarrasment to the women's movement..Shrinking and all"

"Oh, he'd better not. After all, he and I went through more than one phase like this."

"You? But your'e so...confident. And on the ball. ANd Uncle Olgar would spit in the high king's eye if he thought the man had it coming and not blink"

"Oh, sweetheart...you think we started this way? We've both got a lot of living under our belts, not to mention quite a few solid disagreements and more than a few shouting matches."

"Bet those are glorious in their way" A smile and a sip of lemonade "mom and da... they fight, but they make sure I NEVER see or hear it. When I was a little girl on the boat? I remember father would direct me to go to the far side of the ship and sing .. or go rinse with the fresh water... or mother would."
