"Puppy?" she seems a bit less robotic there

perhaps it threw her off. Maybe she likes dogs

Twobit wags her little stub

"Uh-huh! TwoBit, c'mere girl..."

She pats her lap, inviting the terrier over.

And bounce goes the mongrel poodle yorkie maybe something else mix

"Karen, this is TwoBit. She's nice." She deposits the dog on Karen's lap.

Karen sits there for a moment, her fingers flex, but otherwise does nothing. Twobit, however, is not having that. Clearly this human is doing it wrong. She shoves her head under the flexing fingers until Karen is now petting her. Indeed, now feeling the dog, Karen starts to stroke, still a bit robotically, but no one told her to.

"Little dog may have a gift" Olgar admits quietly

"TwoBit's somethin', yeah." Fond.

"Almost a real dog!"

"It was Sam's idea" Tove reminds Olgar looking VERY Proud.

"You're doing real good, Karen."

The petting grows less robotic. Twobit approves

"I'm going to make food, get a drink with a straw in it for her" Tove says "Olgar, I think we have her from here. We'll watch her. You better make sure no one else is on the trods nearby"

Olgar chuckles at something "sure."

"If you find them, though... don't let them get away."

"If they're the bad guys, I'll catch em. If they're like her? I save em. It's the oath" He says simply "It's what I am." And he rises a few cricks in his back "Even if I am an older what I am " wry and then a nod "Thanks, Tove. Sam? Damn good work. "

Karen mutters "Good work" and pets two bit who has turned around so her belly gets rubbed

She purple but smiles. "Cool."

Olgar heads out

Of course ,it's possible Karen will never be sane again, and she's very likely to never be the same again, but for now... she is at least not entirely lost.
