She shakes her head. "That's...I think I'm glad I wasn't there. That would have freaked me out."

"And threatening to skin you alive" Siv says

"67% sure she was joking"

"Oh yeah, that too."

Alarmed eyes. "Wow...yeah, I've seen her fillet a steak, I would not take that threat too lightly. Glad she calmed down kinda before I got back."

"Who else got whammied that I missed?"

"Maybe it was the kith talking, or at whispering as the case maybe" She says "Symon talks some spooky game when he wants to too"

"He does."

"Oh, let's see.. Zane was a boggan, Nadeen a satyr. Tove a selkie? which I envy though I didn't see it" A pause "Oh, and a Frog Pooka was seen hopping around but no idea who that was"

"Wow! I missed all of that!"

"Dagmar saw more of it than I did" She says

"Yeah?" She looks to Dagmar for further details.

"Um... yeah?"

"I missed the frog pooka... you think maybe Dirk or Symon?"

"Pity you missed Nadeen as a satyr, though."

"How was she?" Siv asks

"Yeah, did she like being a satyr, too? Or did she get cranky about it?"

"Zane as a boggan just does not compute." she laughs.

"He was cute! Sorta like a teddy bear."

"Nadeen, oh, she was still pretty - just... earthier? Less icy. Her horns were ivory, and her fleece pale gold, but her eyes were the same..."

"Less icy? Wow...maybe she'll stay that way for a while?"

"Well, she's... lonely, yeah? We aren't always that nice to her."

"Golden Fleece huh? No wonder the greek boy loved her"

"She doesn't always make it easy to be nice to her, though."

"Well, if she'd be nicer to Symon it would be easier to be nicer to her" Siv says "But .. I admit, maybe I didn't like the talk others were given about a sidhe who might be a baroness near mum's bale. I ..think I understand her better now"

"Well, neither do I..."

"She misses her Dad."

"But she has a dad the.. I suppose the browns aren't the same mm?"

Sylvi gives Dagmar a thoughtful look.

"They aren't. They're good fosters, really.. but..." A shrug.

"Well, I wonder how she took to satyr hood. think she made any choices she'll regret?"

"Um..." Purple.

Sylvi's eyes go a little wide. "Dagmar...?"

"What? I.." She blinks and now notices the blush "Dagmar? "

"I don't think so? I don't know! What? WHy are you looking at me?"

"She and Zane went off to do that."

"I didn't!"

"Okay, " Siv says

Sylvi's jaw drops. "Wait...no no no, Dagmar, no, I'm not...we're not judging! Just...you know...surprised."

She tugs on her hoodie, burrowing deeper inside it. "I didn't."

Then Dagmar explains, and Sylvi looks...confused. "Oh. Okay, I misunderstood."

"It's just you're awful purple"

Siv says "But honest, at this stage, well, I surely wouldn't judge if.well, but it didn't, so...doesn't matter."

"Shut up." Muffled and miserable.

"Wait...Dagmar...what did we do? I don't...we didn't mean to say anything wrong...?"

"I didn't do anything!"

"Ok." Siv says nodding "Please, don't be angry."
