He smiles "Yeah, I get that. She's a good lady."

She nods. "Yeah. I'm glad she's around."

"And she and Jaymes make each other happy."

"That would explain the wedding clothes I saw them in" He agrees "It's good. You three make a good family, nuclear that is...you got cousins and uncles out the ying yang now"

"I do!"

"Been there in a weird way. Came here with no one giving two shits about me, and me not giving even one shit about anybody else"

She nods.

"You maybe the only other one here who really gets that" The Rover says "mm maybe not, we each got our story"

"I think old Sam would call me soft. But..." She shrugs. "I'm also a lot happier than old Sam, so who's losing?"

"You ain't stupid" He nods

"People keep sayin' that."

"Must be true" He says

"Maybe!"

He gets himself a drink "You want a drink before you go?"

"I'm good, but thanks. And thanks for taking me."

"Hey, my best interest. You know more so might have less chance of needing rescue ... and if you do become a Rover, I can give you the shit work"

She snorts but grins. "You think!"

"Can you blame me?"

"Nope. Nobody wants the shit jobs."

"But somebody's gotta. Better a crap job than busy-work, right?"

"Any day of the week" He agrees.

"So, well, I can handle some shit work."

"Won't get you out of homework I bet but that's Jaymes' speech"

"Oh god, it's a conspiracy!"

"Yup. Everyone with a kid is in on it. Now where did I put my red flashy thing to wipe your memory of my confession? " He looks through the kitchen drawers

She makes a fart sound at him.

Tove gives a txt: Bzzt MEatloaf okay?

Txt: Yes. OMW home!

TXT: _Okay. Oh, baked potato too. _

Olgar nods "That Tove?"

"Yup! Meatloaf and potatoes. I gotta run."

"Later, Champ" He nods

A wave, and she's off - crossing the woods to home at an easy jog.

The smell of good food leads her to the door... Twobit barks to announce to the world that she sees her, then springs out wagging

She scoops up the terrier. "Heyyyy"

Into the kitchen, for Tove. "Heyyyyyyy."

"HEYYY" She laughs "Help me put out the plates and I'll fill them"

She sets TwoBit down and starts setting the table. "So I went to the Dreaming!"

"How.. ah, not alone I hope?"

The door opens and Twobit is off to greet Jaymes

"No, with Olgar."

"Oh," Relief on her face "Hey Jaymes, husband of mine.. how.." her eyes widen and she puts the food down to move towards him.

Twobit whines a bit

And two bit is not a whiner

"What's..?" A frown and she turns from the cupboard to look.

Jaymes seems shorter... still a tall man, but it's like he lost nearly a foot. His blue skin is the peach of any mortal but iwth lines of trollish color... "Am... I live here right?" His horns are gone "Tove? Where's.. sam? Where's..."
